Cinco is full of surprises. This morning after his second breakfast, I heard him meow and went to look to see what he was doing, and he was on the floor, "playing" with his nanner again!
Two days in a row! I went to the kitty cabinet and dug out a brand new mouse of the same kind as the one I gave him when he was still living in the garage, recovering from DKA. He didn't seem too impressed, but about half an hour later I heard him again and he was playing with that (rather sedately, but he was moving it around a little)! He is now sleeping with both the nanner and mouse as a pillow! WOW! You have no idea what a big deal this is. He NEVER plays! He must feel pretty good. I get teary just thinking about it! Thank you, LL!!! I thank God every day that we found you. <3 (we need a heart smiley)
Now, to spoil the mood: Sasha is still sneezing, despite the 5 mg of Zyrtec I gave her last night. She wasn't really excited about eating this morning. In fact, she wasn't interested at all I left the food so I could tend to the others, and when I came back, she was in the lb. She came out, after a lot of digging, ignored the food I placed directly in her path (still untouched), and went to another littler box, where she did a lot of digging after squatting for a minute. She came out and ate two bites of food, so I left the room, happy, and when I came back I saw she hadn't eaten any more than that and was back in the box. In my best Detective Poo manner, I went back later and checked out both boxes. She had loose stools in both of them. Not full blown diarrhea, but definitely loose. I've been giving her SEB for her tummy issues and coating the pill pockets with Forti Flora. I wouldn't expect either of these to cause loose stools, would they? When she had her annual exam last month, the vet was concerned about the possibility of IBD, and now I'm wondering if that is indeed what's going on. She has only had one other episode of loose stool since the exam (May 7th). Does anyone have experience with IBD? Any ideas? I know they treat it with Pred. That's also what they've been treating her sneezing and congestion with, so maybe she needs to go back on it? :YMSIGH: She's not eating her pill pockets again, so I hate to put her on another med. I had to shoot the Zyrtec down her throat last night. It's always something.
At least Harvey inhaled his breakfast this morning and begged for more!
Sending healing vines to all in need, and hugs to all their beans. :YMHUG:
