Hi Everyone,

I finally made it back to the Board after a great holiday-weekend visit with my sister. Rusty was a really good cat during her visit (and our numerous absences from the house because of our paddles). His numbers were a little high, but he is making up for that today. Breathing has been good and appetite fairly good. He had some good outdoor time today.

Yesterday's paddle, on the Lower Osgood River/ Meecham Lake, began in cold, nasty rain. But the weather improved quickly and we had a great paddle. The water level was high, so we didn't have to climb over any beaver dams (this was good, because my sister's knees aren't what they used to be). The picnic at one of our friend's homes was great, too. But we all really missed Jean. And this afternoon we found out that she passed away yesterday, while we were on the paddle. I am very glad that she did not have to suffer that terrible pain any longer. She was a fine and brave woman and will be missed tremendously.

bbl,

Ella & Rusty

Guter Nachmittag, Lagune-Meister! Süß!

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend, but know that she is better off. It is good to think of her friends being together and remembering her when she passed.

I am so sorry to hear that Jean passed away. She made a huge impression upon me over the few opportunities that I had to visit with her. I will miss her. My condolences to you and Edward on the loss of your dear friend, to her other friends in your circle, and to her family. I'm sure that her spirit joined all of you on your paddle yesterday.

I am so sorry to hear that your friend passed, but as you said, she is no longer in pain. I am sure that she was looking down on you all as you were doing your paddle and will continue to do so.
And take a look at Rusty!!!! Nice nice nice!!! Way to go Rusty!

Great day for Rusty, Lagoonmeister extraordinaire! Keep an eye on all the kitties frolicking in the lagoon today, Rusty. I'm sure it's crowded there. I know you'll keep everyone safe, including yourself.

My deepest sympathy on the loss of your friend, Jean. I hope it is a comfort to know she is not suffering any longer. It's very cool that her friends were together, doing what you all enjoy, when she passed. :YMHUG:

LagoonMeister is really working the juice!

So sorry to hear of Jean's passing. It does seem appropriate that you were out on a paddle when she left.

Hi again,
The LagoonMeister is still on duty.

Thank you all for your kind words of sympathy on the passing of Jean. She will surely be with us in spirit on all of our little group's outings: paddling, hiking, skiing & snowshoeing, bicycling, etc. , not to mention the parties!

Ella & Rusty (who misses his "couch buddy")
