Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty had a good night and was raring to go this morning. He ate all his nighttime food, we had a good morning routine, including a lung treat (yesterday he refused his lung treat), a schmooze, and a little snooze. He is still snoozing.

It is a beautiful, cool day and I am going to do a bike ride (have to get ready for the ride I'm leading on June 11th). Rusty will have some outdoor time this afternoon. And maybe I'll get the lawn mowed.

Wishing all a good day,

Ella & Rusty

Hi Ella,

Glad to hear that Rusty was still in fine form after an energetic bedtime. I'm not sure what you do for a lung treatment but I'm happy to hear he let you do it this morning.

Good luck with getting both your bike ride in and mowing the lawn. Riding a bike in the Adirondacks must be visually stunning but physically exhausting. Good on you to lead a bicycle run in June.

Two year's ago, I travelled by bus with my quilting guild friends to Vermont and we passed through your scenic mountains - just after all the flooding. We had a great pit stop at a wonderful, local craft establishment - the meal was superb and the people were so cheerful and friendly. When I got home I told DH that we need to visit in the Fall sometime to see the colors in all their splendour.

Have a great day Ella and Rusty. You're so very lucky to live in such a beautiful setting. Enjoy! Anne

the lagoonMeister is poised on the edge of the lagoon, keeping an eye on things. The WCR is great. I hope you have a fun ride, I really need to get out on my bike more. I keep trying to convincing myself that all the yard work makes up for it.

Nice slide for Rusty today. I'm glad he's doing so well. I hope you had a good bike ride.

Hi again,
Rusty had a good green day and enjoyed a new food for lunch: Wild Calling! Pheasant Roost. He liked it, so I hope he continues to like it. If he does, I'll get him some more of it the next time I go to Potsdam. So far that's two of the Wild Calling! that Rusty approves: Cabin Fever (Chicken) and Pheasant Roost. He didn't care for the Rabbit Burrow. I have a can of Turkey for him to try and then I'm out of this food.

We had some good outdoor time this afternoon, about an hour of lounging on the back stoop. Rusty loved being in the sunshine. Edward put some of Rusty's hair that he had combed out in the flowerbox we planted the basil in--to serve as a deterrent. Chip Chip has been digging around the basil roots. I suspect he's not really interested in the basil, but that he stashed seeds there during the winter.

I did a 14-mile ride on my road bike. A bit hilly. I had planned to ride the entire route (25 miles) that I will be leading in a few weeks, but didn't have time. Guess what? The lawn mowing didn't get done today!

Wishing you all a fine evening,

Ella & Rusty

Oh Rusty, you are looking so lovely in your greens and blues. And now that summer is almost here, it's good to have the lagoon meister back on regular duty to watch over the kitties lounging in the lagoon.

I had to cancel my trip to Germany because of the wildfire. We did most of the work remotely and with conference calls, and more to come over the next two to three weeks. I had another tentative trip to Germany in mid-June and now I will not need to go on that one either. I am relieved as our fire danger is the worst in June, as if it isn't bad enough already. No more travel for me until August. Yes, I did get my new computer - two of them! ohmygod_smile A 21" iMac desktop for my home office and a 13" MacBook Pro laptop for travel. I haven't had time to set either one up, we've been a little preoccupied with the fire, but I will get on it this weekend. :-D

Rusty's looking great today. Good luck with the cat hair as ChipChip repellant. I found a walnut in one of my planter pots the other day. :o Maybe I should be mixing Neko hair in with the potting soil.

Too funny on the lawn. It's so easy to put that one off.

Rusty, thank you for watching over the kitties in the lagoon today. Cinco spent some time there while I was out, and it was comforting to know you had all under control. I see you've stepped back on shore this evening. Cinco decided to go for a late night dip. Perhaps you can see him from where you are and keep an eye on him? Thanks! :-D

Wow, a 14 miile ride. My dh could do that easily, but I'm only good for 3 or 4. Of course, I only ride about once every two or three years - perhaps that has something to do with it!

I hope Chip Chip leaves the basil alone. That's my favorite herb. I can't wait for our tomatoes to show up, and then I'll be enjoying some yummy tomato basil sauce on my pasta for lunches. Oooh, my mouth is watering already!

I hope Rusty didn't keep you up too late tonight, Ella.
