Lucy's numbers are high, but she's feeling fine today.
She ate all her breakfast really well this morning.
Of course by finger-feeding, but I think her appetite this morning was the best since she got sick after the dental.
Maybe Azodyl is making her feel better..... I hope so.

She was feeling really good this morning.
Then she got pretty grumpy because I shaved a couple of her knots and trimmed her claws.
She actually bit me hard. She never used to bite me for nail trim.
These days, she has become less forgiving and patient with me doing stuff to her, but I don't blame her.
She's got tons done to her lately. Poor girl.
She's sleeping now, stretched out. So cute.

The taurine I ordered has arrived, so I'll be adding this from today's dinner.
Hopefully she won't mind this mixed in her food.

Lucy dear, what are you doing biting your momma bean? She's just trying to help. Maybe you need a second pair of hands to help you with the nail trimming.

Great news on her appetite! I hope the Azodyl will help her feel better.

Mine are stretched out in the sun too. It's great cat weather.

I'm kidding. :lol: I don't want Lucy to dislike visitors.
I want Lucy to remember that these things I do to her (nail trim, bum cleaning, sub-q fluids) aren't so bad, like she learnt that ear pokes are OK.
Until then, I'll just let her bite me.
And every time I look at my hand bleeding, I'll think that Lucy is bleeding from her heart too. :lol:

I used to help a friend of mine with her feisty cat, and I used to do monthly toenail duty at the animal shelter. I bought myself a pair of leather gardening gloves designed for use when pruning roses.

Must have been nail cutting day all around. I did the 5 boys today easy these days. When my 6 year old came for me to foster and I failed he had never had his nails done so no matter how I tried it was not to be ..then I gave in and left him on his safe floor and just tucked him between my knees and one nail at a time...almost 2 years and he is still ...you can do it but don`t pick me up....Mikey was another failed foster( so I don`t foster) he was only about 5 months wild but today he stays on floor or where he is sleep and its ok al long as I don`t try to hold them. to cut nails..must be something in ferals...both big babies but still has that skittish part in them. Mikey has dreams and comes running to cuddle on my knee...often wonder what happened to my boys out there.....Hugs and have a wonderful week end and heal fast till the next time it nail cutting day. ;-)

I'm glad Lucy is feeling better. Sorry about the bite. I wish we could explain to them and they'd understand the things we do are for them.

Every time I see a blood drop on me, I always think I should test that :lol: Luckily, I test fine when I do.

I'm glad Lucy is feeling better. J.D. has been on Azodyl for a couple years. I forget about doing it before or after food. He usually gets his at PMPS which is 1st Dinner time.

I'm with you though Mariko...with as much as she's been through lately, and all the poking, prodding and "examining", I don't blame her for being a little short-tempered either!

I know how I feel if I'm feeling crummy and a bunch of doctors are putting me through a bunch of tests...it's like "oh now come on!! The next guy that touches me is going to get punched!"

Hopefully she'll continue to feel better, and she'll be more forgiving the next time!

Lucy seems to like mellow yellow just like Max today.

My first cat was a terror when it came to nail clipping and tummy brushing from the time she was tiny. My sister came to help and Mandie would never come near her for her whole life. So you are wise to do it alone. I use clippers like look like scissors which are easier to use than the one I had back then.
