Another sunny day, Neko again with 5P's in the solarium. All this in spite of the neighbour who has hired someone to run a noisy gas pressure washer within 50 feet of the solarium. :twisted: Our pressure washer is electric so not as noisy. Neko is being very brave today. cat_pet_icon

After a couple of "rest"days, it was good to see Neko back in greens. Tomorrow I'm taking her in for her 6 month checkup and bloodwork, and hoping she'll have decent blood sugar. She's only once had normal BG when I've had bloodwork done. :roll: I'll also get vetty to take a look at her mouth and check her heart murmur. She has only pawed at her mouth once since the twist tie incident. so hoping that was a one off. I also want to talk about pain meds, maybe see if she knows an acupuncture vetty.

ETA: OT: Moon jellyfish are now out in the waters!

Are jellyfish as bad as blackflies? Can you get stung while rowing? A blackfly bite lasts about 2 weeks: such big welts from such tiny insects!

Neko, you are really brave to wait out the pressure washing. We are sending good vetty vines for tomorrow. Rusty has never had a "normal" bg at the vet's. We'll be interested in the accupuncture conversation, too. Rusty's yearly check-up is in 2 weeks.

Neko what is up at the +3? Maybe that is when the pressure washer man started. LOL Did they wash your windows Neko?

Oh man jellyfish bites are the worst. Hope you can avoid them.

All diabetic cats get the memo when they get her to never have a good bg at the Vet. I think it comes in the kitty sticky notes.

No matter how much I tested, she wasn't going to give me a green again. :lol: Neko had a good nanner chewing this afternoon - she's really loud when she chomps into those nanners. I took some video of her walking to show the vetty, although she was walking pretty lively because I was shaking the treat bag.

@Carla - We got THIS close, but no lagoon today.

@Mariko - Neko doesn't onset until after +5 so she often goes up until then. I asked Theo's vet's office about accupuncture and was told about the ones I already know. :roll:

@Ann - Maybe she is saving those greens for tomorrow? Jellyfish stay in the water, we are on top, so no problem when they are around. The moon jellies are really cool to look at and don't sting. In August they can see hundreds at a time. The lion's mane jellies are larger and sting, those we paddle away from.

@Ella - The moon jellies, the common ones, don't sting. I don't want to go near the others but they are bright orange so easy to avoid. I too am curious to see what vetty says about acupuncture. I may have to go alone on that one. One of the acupuncture vetty's I know - she was a rower. But has a long waiting list.

@Linda - Neko onsets and nadirs late on Lev, so her cycles always look a bit strange. So far so good on avoiding the nasty jellies, I like looking at the common ones. Neko doesn't get vetty stress, but she does tend to run higher during the day, which is why she seldom has nice numbers there. :roll:

Well it might not be green, but still some nice numbers this afternoon and evening.
