Good Afternoon, Everyone,

A really late start today. The remembrance party for Jean was so wonderful that a group of us stayed up talking until very late. What a terrific friend she was. I know she was there the whole time, smiling about the awful weather (cold and stormy; the kind of weather that would never hold her back from something she wanted to do).

Rusty is still in unusually high numbers for him. If he doesn't get back on track soon, I will take his dose back up a drop. Today is another low-key day for him. He may still be recovering from his trip to and from camp. He may be reacting to the awful weather. Last night when we got back from the party he was happy and relieved to see us. I'm sure he understood that the party was for his "couch buddy": he always came straight to Jean to sit on her lap.
Today he ate his "lung treat", after I had put it away and taken it out again for a second try. Yesterday he refused his treat, but had a good time eating his lunch in the company of our friends, who ate their lunch at our house after the bike ride because the rain had started and we couldn't eat it at a picnic spot.

The bike ride was good and my knee made it through OK. My other knee hurt, however! I think the weather had a lot to do with it. It was cold and damp. But the rain held off until the last 10 minutes, when we got pretty wet.

Thanks to everyone who visited us yesterday and for your thoughts about our friend Jean. We miss her so much.

Off to the post office now. It isn't raining, but it is in the 50s, dark, damp and chill. They are finally cleaning the winter sand and grit off our street today. Our street was practically a dirt road!

Yo Kitties! Tomorrow is the Full Strawberry Moon. We will party! I'd like to ask Elsa, Bug and Lola to be the hosts for the party, because they live in an area where strawberries are in season. Party planning at my house this afternoon. All welcome. I'm making cimmamum cookies and hot tuna toddies for refreshments (because it's cold here).

Hi Ella,
I am glad that so many of Jean's friends were able to get together and celebrate her life and your memories of her. It is so touching that Rusty misses her too.

Sounds like it was special remembrance for your friend. I think Rusty heard your talk of a dose threat.

Hi again,
Rusty seems to have broken his bounce, or whatever it was. He had a bit of energy this afternoon and we played with the bell balls and the furry chipmunk toy.

Off to visit some condos. It's still raining here.

Neko and Rusty are having a great time in the lagoon - what better place to plan a full moon party before going to an OTJ party. :mrgreen:

The remembrance event sounds lovely - Jean probably was watching over her friends. :YMHUG:

We'z got strawberries here too, but da ones in my yard have just started ripening. It'd be cool to do a treehouse party wit Elsa, Bug, n Lola! ~Neko

Sounds like you had a good time at the remembrance party and bike ride yesterday. I am so glad! Poo on the rainy weather, but at least it waited until you guys were almost done!!!
