Last Night:
259 PMPS
248 +2.75
158 +7.5
220 +8.5

J.D. didn't eat that much last night, but ate his meals. I left out some uneaten food in their bowls and it was still there when I got up this morning. I don't know if I should give him cypro or not. He hasn't had any since last Thursday. Oh, and he went slight wet poo in the middle of the night and he woke me up with the smell  so he got FortiFlora on his 1st Breffis this morning which was CPC. He is now laying out on the deck.

Re: 06/23 J.D. AMPS 331

Yay for CPC this morning! Hopefully he'll continue with CPC and you can skip the cypro. Have a great day, Dyana!

Re: 06/23 J.D. AMPS 331

Yay for the CPC. I think I'd wait on the cypro and see how he eats today. I hope the fortiflora helps.

Re: 06/23 J.D. AMPS 331, +2.5 281, +5 194

Hmm. So far he ate 1st Breffis at AMPS, 2nd Breffis at +1.5 and that was it.
I think I would like to see him eat more food. And yesterday when he was in the 40s and not hungry didn't make me feel so great. I think I'll start a small dose of cypro tonight or tomorrow morning.

Re: 06/23 J.D. AMPS 331, +2.5 281, +5 194, +6.5 99

J.D. ate some Friskies SD Turkey & Giblets at +6.5, and is now laying at my feet.

We leave in 2 hours for his Initial Acupuncture which is supposed to take 1 hour. I must say, I'm a little nervous.

Re: 06/23 J.D. AMPS 331, +2.5 281, +5 194, +6.5 99

Good luck. I hope it goes well and you will post all the details.

Re: 06/23 J.D. +6.5 99, +7.5 87, +8 72

I have to run to the store to get by Dad a birthday card as his birthday is Thursday. I doubt if I'll be able to do that and get it to a post office all in the next hour as we leave in an hour from now. I'm bringing my glucometer to the appointment with me.

Re: 06/23 J.D. +6.5 99, +7.5 87, +8 72

glad to see that he did eat some and was a member of the CPC. I hope the FF helps also.

Good luck at the acupuncturist!! I will be eagerly awaiting a report!

don't be surprised if he kinda collapses, dyana. that's an endorphin release that they get when the needles go in.

i'm thinking about you and hoping JD tolerates it well! cat_pet_icon

Hopefully he won't go lower as he likes to do at the vet. I threw a can of MC and a plastic spoon into my purse.

Wish us luck, please.

Good luck - you are probably done but not back yet. I'm eagerly waiting to hear how it went. Be good JD.

Re: 06/23 J.D. +6.5 99, +7.5 87, +8 72, +9 57 we're back

2:54pm 57 (left house, fed 5 Temptations while driving)
3:29pm 53 (arrived at vet - still in car, feeding MC)
3:38pm 51 (in vet waiting room, feeding HC and Greenies)
3:43pm 56 (still in waiting room, ate about 1/2 can of MC, starting to get full)
3:55pm 76 (on exam table - waiting for doctor, feeding MC)
4:09pm 96 (doctor arrives)

Do you think I was freaking out a little bit. I think part of it was the last post I read before walking out the door about him collapsing nailbite_smile

It was supposed to be an hour vet visit but turned out to be more like a half hour.

The vet looked me in the eye and then asked me "what are you here for" in a strange way, like I was a know it all or an old enemy :YMSIGH: so weird. Now, I remember, she said those words to me the last time I met her.

She said that acupuncture may or may not work. She said it works best in horses (and she must have said that fact 3 times during out conversation) and then a little less in humans, and a little less in dogs, and a little less in cats. She said we should know if it's working by about 3 weeks. I told her that I will be coming in 5 days and then in 9 days and then in 9 days as that's what fits in my schedule and she said okay.

J.D. had black needles put in him with matched his fur, for about 15 minutes. At first he was standing. The tech asked if I wanted her to stay with me and I said no, it's okay, and J.D. eventually relaxed and was laying down with him head over the edge of the table and pressed against my tummy just as it was over.

I asked about what she thought about his weight and she said it was okay. That it is steady and that is good. That he has a lot of muscle waisting.

So, hopefully, it will help. Fingers Crossed and Knock On Wood.

It's just about time for PMPS now, and he may not eat as he ate so much at +10 and there abouts.
I will probably have to give him cypro tonight.

That's my report.

hmmm, not sure what to think about all of that! sounds like JD did ok with it, at least. I wouldn't allow the electrodes after my experience with punkin, just the needles.

i hope it helps! hope he eats tonight for you.
