Hello everyone! Happy OTJ Party to Pixie!!!!
Yesterday's condo: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=120879
I'm happy to see the blue AMPS on Billie! We had an eventful morning. I woke up around 5am to a lot of commotion, and found Brooklyn (my civvie) beating a mouse to death while Billie watched her looking a little disturbed. Billie is a pacifist. In one of our old apartments before I had Brooklyn, a mouse showed up, and Billie just stared at it intently while it scooted around. She had plenty of opportunities to go in for the kill, but she didn't want to.
Anyway, I knew that there had to be some kind of critter hanging out under the oven, because both cats have been "on patrol" and glued to the kitchen for the past couple days. There wasn't any bloodshed, so that's good. I disposed of the poor little guy, and Brooklyn looked offended. She probably planned on batting it around a while longer and eventually dropping it in my bed.
I took Brooklyn to the vet this morning to get the lump I noticed yesterday checked out. She was surprisingly well behaved today! The last time she was there, the vet tech started calling her "the calico terror." They shaved her to get a better look at it, then aspirated it and will send it out for analysis. Her vet said it could be inflammation or a tumor of some sort. I kind of think it is the latter, unfortunately. I don't know how she could have injured herself. She doesn't go outside, and while she sometimes tries to play fight with Billie, Billie just growls and runs away (pacifist!) I suppose she could have tried to jump up on something and maybe not quite made it and bumped herself. I won't know until mid week next week. Paws crossed for good news, or at least better than bad news.
Here's Brooklyn!
