8/1 Zener PMPS 315;+2 275

Yesterday

Zener is doing ok this morning. No yard patrol because it was raining! That almost never happens here, rain in the morning. And there was a clap of thunder, just as I was about to touch the blood drop with the strip and Zener jerked and the blood splattered. :roll: :lol: What timing. Both kitties are napping on the bed, missing their mamaAnnebean.

OT: Speaking of Anne, all is going well on her travels. She is on the 3rd of 3 flights to Copenhagen, then a 2 hour train ride, then a shuttle (I think). Her second meal on British Air was moldy! :-x She got a nice sandwich in the airport.

Thinking of ailing kitties and beans. Sending special comfort vines to Mariko and Lucy. Vines to Amy and DF, Wendy's DM and DA, Molly's DF, Tricia, Cinco and civies Sasha and Harvey. TGIF, LL!

What timing on the thunder. Poor Zener. Poor you for having to clean up the mess. Yuck on the moldy airplane food. Poor Anne.

Poor kitties with the morning rain. I hope it dries off enough that Z-man can patrol his catnip bush. Yikes on the thunder - I'd have to fish Neko out from under the bed to do that test.

Anne is probably on the ground now and hopefully no more icky meals! But fish for breakfast!

Zener and I did fluids, all by ourselves (without Annebean even in the house)! That may be why his BG came down tonight. I was glad to see that PMPS. Appy is a bit better tonight. Today was lousy. :sad: I gave him SEB both this morning and tonight at the dose that Ann is giving Tess. I think I started out a little too high so hopefully this will work for our guy.

OT: Tillie has been sneezing a bit the past few days. Not a lot, I hear her maybe 5 times per day. And just one sneeze at a time. I am just watching at this point. Hope it goes away on its own.

OT2: Anne arrived safely in Denmark, about 22 hours of travel time from our house to the hotel. I hope she sleeps well tonight because they start at 7 am tomorrow. :shock:

ETA: We've had a rainy day! That rarely happens and it's usually because the remnants of a hurricane make it this far inland. Not this time.

Congrats on the successful fluids administration! It is a challenge doing it alone, isn't it? Of course, it helps a lot if your cat cooperates.

I hope Anne complained about her moldy food. They should have given her something from First Class for that! I'd write a letter, for sure. I'm glad she made it to Copenhagen safely. I hope she gets some sleep. Jumping all those time zones and hitting the ground running is a major challenge. Sending anti-jet lag vines.

on the thunder startling Zener at the wrong time! Cinco is very good at shaking his head either right before or after we get the blood on the strip, so our bathroom looks like a crime scene with blood spatter everywhere. Just when I think I have it all cleaned up, I see another spot! :roll: I hope CSI never has reason to visit us, or we're sunk! :lol:

Oh, the blood splatter! Murphys Law that those things will happen right then ohmygod_smile :lol: . I'm hoping to see a nice Zener slide tonight? Not too low, for the bean on both day and night duty to get some sleep ;-)

Anne sure travels a lot! I don't enjoy travelling that much, so that just amazes me . Safe travels to her, and good sleep vines

I hope Zener's appy picked up through the evening and the SEB does the trick. Yay for solo fluids! I have yet to try that. I hope Anne has a great trip - I'm glad she made it safely...yikes on the moldy food, though - that is scary!!!
