Yesterday's Condo

I was feeling pretty discouraged about this dose so far, but that +6.5 reading made me feel just a little better. I guess I need to put on my patience pants and give it a few more cycles before I let my trigger finger get itchy again. Cinco is perturbed at how often I've been poking him, but I'm just so anxious to see better numbers, I just can't help myself. Maybe I need to join a support group for compulsive pokers. Oh, wait..... :lol: :lol:

Sasha only ate a few licks of her breakfast, even after getting her Bupe 1/2 hour before. She was smacking her lips, so I gave her some ondansetron. That was two hours ago. I just went up and offered her some food, and with a lot of coaxing and some kitty krak, she ate three or four more bites. I just left a message for Dr. P at UCD to see what else I can do. She didn't eat a lot last night, either, so it's making me nailbite_smile .

It's overcast and coolish (low 70s) here today - loving it. It's confusing Minka about whether she should have a summer appy or not. First she doesn't want to eat, then a little later she does, then she doesn't. Silly kitty! :roll: Harvey and Cinco are not similarly conflicted. Boys are so much less complicated than girls! :lol: :lol:

I hope Cinco shows you some green soon. I hope Sasha starts feeling better and will eat more for you. Silly Minka. Hopefully she'll eat good for you. Enjoy the cooler weather.

That's a nice, shallow cycle for Cinco so far. I hope Shasta will want to eat better tonight.

Okay, I am officially confused. How is it that Cinco's PMPS is the same as his +6.5? Does that mean he went down after that? RIght after I swore to take a pokey break???? ARGH!! confused_cat cat(2)_steam ohmygod_smile

And to make matters worse, it' s now hot and humid and no one but Harvey wants to eat (Cinco is tired of being chased with the plate).

It means he's surfing and holding that nice, flat cycle. Or maybe your meter is playing tricks. Or maybe he's just being a cat.

Happy Camperbean here! I did get him to eat more with a simple trick I read in others' condos: I sprinkled FD salmon crumbs on his food, and he just hoovered it right up! YAY! He got lots of extra scritches, especially after that +5. cat_pet_icon

BTW, thanks for the visits, Wendy, Ella, Molly, Catherine and Carla.

I'll be testing Cinco again shortly at +6. Now I just have to decide if Sasha needs a third dose of Bupe today, or if 2 is enough.

I forgot to mention earlier that Sasha's Rad Onc, Dr. P, called me back and told me to give her Pepcid and Ondansetron one hour before feeding. She said the Clavamox could be upsetting her stomach. I have been giving her the AB when I feed her, but tonight I waited and gave it one hour later. She did eat about 2/3 of her dinner, which was served a little more than an hour after the Pepcid and Ond, although some coaxing was required. I just took her a snack - a tablespoon of moist food with no kitty krak,and she ate it with enthusiasm! Guess the meds kicked in. She ate the last bite and turned away - her no more, Mama signal. For once, I heeded the sign, took the empty plate and left happy.

Those are some nice greens for Cinco :mrgreen: !!! Darn those summertime appies, though....they're enough to make a bean crazy! I'm glad you got good advice about Sasha...I bet the clavamox is messing with her appy.....ABs always make me nervous for that reason.

I hope you got some sleep last night!!
