Interesting cycle last night, she went down before her onset. But she also spent some time after dinner out hunting bugs. I went out to bring her in and started out petting her and got lots of purrs. Then I went to pick her up and the complaining started. :lol: Sorry kitten, too dark for kitties to be out that late in our neighbourhood. But mom, that's when all the bugs are out!

Much nicer start this morning after that green. That was worth getting up for at 4:30. Well I was getting up for rowing anyway. All well in Neko's world so far, although the bean is a little slow on producing the +2 meal (note: it's only +1.5 :roll: ). She's on Otto watch duty.

Healing vines to all kitties and beans in need. Surf safe today everyone. TGIF!

Nice blue surf going today, sooo close to the lagoon. Perhaps another moonlight dip tonight? Sending safe surfing vines.

Yipee! What looks like an all blue cycle during the day. Very thematic, I just finished making some blueberry muffins to take to my parents tomorrow (57th wedding anniversary). Neko loves blueberry muffins, she always hanging around when I make them. Maybe it's the melted butter. :? Three years ago about this time of year blueberry muffins figured in the clues that something wasn't quite right with her. She had hopped up on the kitchen counter and chewed through a plastic ziploc to get at some blueberry muffins. Being a carbaholic was unusual for her until then.

@Carla, Liz, Tricia, Catherine - Thanks for cheering on the mighty huntress. Blue surfs work for me, wonder what she's got in store for tonight?

Ooohhhh...what a lovely blue surf, Neko! Good job. Keep it up tonight, ok? (or a tiny slide into the greens, ok?!) Yummy...blueberry muffins. I have some on my refrigerator and if it weren't 11pm, I'd be breaking them open right now! Hope you all have a great evening!!!

What a beautiful blue surf - Go Neko! Funny about the blueberry muffins, I've never seen a cat eat blueberry muffins, or anything bread like for that matter- interesting! But now I do have a strange craving for blueberry muffins though! :lol: On a serious note, not knowing much about acro, does it just come on suddenly? Or is the kitty born with it?

@Deborah, Ella, Ruth - It's taking all my energy not to sample the blueberry muffins tonight. :lol: I love fresh blueberry season. Ruth - No way of knowing when Neko's acro tumor started growing, but it was small when she had radiation therapy so likely not from birth. Like any tumor (this one is benign), you usually don't know it's there until you see the side effects. Neko's first symptoms were eating inappropriate foods. Even at her FD diagnosis she wasn't peeing or drinking like I hear other diabetics do. She seemed off and was due for her annual wellness so got bloodwork done. With hind sight, I probably should have taken her in a couple months earlier, but it came on gradually.

@Yo Rusty - Sockeye salmon are running here - gotta get some for the party this weekend. Beans didn't share theirs tonight. :evil: ~Neko
