Happy Caturday, LL! ~O)

I was stalking all of you (again) this morning and realized I haven’t provided on update on Jersey in over four months. She’s still enjoying life at the Falls; yesterday’s check was 37. More importantly, you’ll be happy to know that she is still plotting my demise. Her recent “To Do” list:

  • 1. Shred the toilet paper and leave it lying all over the bathroom floor. Goal: To cause the human’s legs to become entangled in the mess, which will result in the human falling and breaking her nose.

    2. Growl, hiss, and attack the new – and quite annoying – kitten the human brought home. Goal: To cause general hate and discontent in the home in the hopes that both the human and the annoying kitten will vacate the premises.

    3. Meow incessantly until the human finally sits down. Upon sitting, I will jump in her lap, make biscuits with my claws on the most sensitive area of her stomach, and slobber profusely. Goal: To infect the human with Feline Slobber Disease. Transmission of the disease will be done through the puncture wounds left in the human’s stomach.

    4. Ignore the human when she calls me to come inside for the night. The human will be forced to traipse across the yard after me. Her flashlight will die in the process, she will step in a big mud puddle (losing her shoe in the process), and a toad will attack her foot as she traverses across the yard in the dark. Goal: To induce a heart attack from the toad attack.
Luckily, I have survived all of her attempts to finish me off – although she came close with the toad attack.

Although I haven’t been posting, I have been watching. I’m so excited for all of the kitties who have gone OTJ – and those who are almost there. I continue to send prayers to the kitties and beans who are struggling. Lots and lots of good appy, good poo, anti-cancer, anti-cough, and general healing vines are headed out every day. I also send out prayers to the moms, dads, aunts, and other family members who are dealing with health problems. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with those who have lost their loved ones, as well – both feline and human.

I’ve said it so often, but it’s so true – Jersey and I couldn’t have made it to this point without all of you. You all have my sincerest appreciation for all that you did for us. :YMHUG:

Good morning Shelly (and Jersey),

Can't...stop...laughing at your post. Ohhhh, my cats and yours would get along well with each other! ...those silly plotters!

I feel the same way you do about this site. The amazing people here have saved my cats life and MY sanity  This is, by far, the best support group EVER!

Hope you have an amazing Caturday!

Jeannie (and Cairo)

Ah, so happy to hear that Jersey is feeling good and back to normal!   Um, we need to see kitten pictures. I hope Jersey won't be a bad influence, they'll gang up on you!

Shelly! :YMHUG:

It has been far too long since we got an update on Jersey's plotting to do you in.

I'm glad to read that she continues to give you mild-anxiety-inducing normal BGs and that she has continued in her quest to overthrow the world. ;-)

Jersey hasn't by chance been getting on here and PM'ing Eddie, has she? He's been a champion diver lately, and when he's doing this, I'm pretty sure I've caught him out of the corner of my eye with an evil grin on his face.

Are you and DH still racing each other to do Jersey's BG tests? Have you been able to wean yourself successfully from testing?

Hopefully, with Jersey having previously infected you with FSD, and you having lived to tell the tale, maybe you've built an immunity to it. ;-)

Nice to hear from you, Shelly! Have a great Caturday!

 I love to hear how Jersey is plotting your demise. I'm glad you've survived.

It's great to hear how well Jersey is doing. Thanks for the update.

Shelly!!

How I've missed your condos. You really need to try to post once a month or so, just to keep us laughing. I'm glad Jersey is still trying, and failing, to do you in. It means the little bugger is still happy and healthy!

It's nice to know you're lurking, even if you don't show yourself often. Please do post a kitten picture. We love those! :-D

oh i have missed you too! i never get tired of reading of Jersey's plotting and scheming. She's a wonder cat!

And a 37! did you have the urge to run for the high carbs? :-D

It's so great to hear from you - don't be a stranger. :YMHUG:

Hi Shelly - so good to hear of you and the evil plotter. I practically fell of my chair laughing when I read your post but I was held down by Jersey's evil black and white twin who was working on giving me slobber disease too. And I'm with Ann, where are the kitten pics?

   Miss you and Jersey girl so much! It's always so wonderful to read about the latest antics as she plots your demise :-D
The toad attack was very clever of her.
All is great in Twice's world as well. His numbers are very low and steady. I did hear him whispering to someone the other night out at the falls. Geez, I hope it wasn't Jersey giving him ideas! :o

Take care Shelly :YMHUG:

Hi Shelly!! It's nice to hear from you, and I'm glad Jersey is enjoying life scheming at the Falls!! I will always be grateful to you for welcoming me on the main board and sending me here :YMHUG:

Thanks for the visits today, everyone, although I'm offended that you all find humor in the fact that my cat is trying to kill me. What does that say about you?

Since you guilted me into it, here's the pic of the newbie (Minnie) participating in her daily afternoon nap in the outdoor cat "mansion," as DH calls it:

She's actually decided that the indoors is much more fun - more papers to tear up, heads to bounce across in the middle of the night, legs to attack under the blankets, etc. You know - the typical stuff.

Jen - DH and I no longer fight over the bg checks. Now we fight over who has to feed the critters. (We both hate the smell and mess of canned food.) Somehow, I've gotten stuck with the majority of testing and feeding. How the heck did that happen? :? I did catch her lying on the laptop the other day. I can't guarantee that she wasn't scheming with Eddie at the time. It's so hard to tell what she's up to since she always has an evil grin on her face.

Julie - I've done a complete 180 over the past couple of months. I don't bat an eye now at the 30s, but the high 40s make me nervous that we're falling out of remission. Isn't that insane?! ohmygod_smile

Kim - I'm just not sure how Jersey coerced the toad into cooperating with her! So glad to hear that Twice is doing well. If FSD makes it's way to your house, just remember that it wasn't my fault. I have no control over the evil that is my cat.

Again, thanks for all your visits!

Oh Jersey! You are such a crazy kitty!!!! Stop messing with the toilet paper, new kitten and your hoomins! ;-) Shasta sends her love!! As for me, I just finished the 2nd week of classes and I like me kids. I like my ensembles. I hate the paperwork and meetings!!!!!! :-x Thank goodness I love my cat so much...I'm not sure just any cat would be worth this many meetings!!!!   Glad to hear that your girl is doing well and enjoying the Falls for FOUR months!!!! Have a great weekend, Shelly!

What a good chuckle on a dreary Sunday morning!! I love your kitty!! For all of the excitement that Gizmo induces here, Jersey has him beat!

ok, that kitten is absolutely adorable! hehehe i think the fact that we all enjoy Jersey's plots just says we're all a little bit demented. either that or a little bit bored.

i'm so glad to hear you're not afraid of her being in the 30's now - although 30's without insulin is a far cry from 30's with insulin!!

Oh Shelly!!! How I've missed you and Jerseys antics to out an end to your misery (or hers by offing you).

I almost snorted coffee out my nose when I read this:

I don't bat an eye now at the 30s, but the high 40s make me nervous that we're falling out of remission. Isn't that insane?!

This is what I envision Jersey teaching the adorable Minnie:
