That's much better, Ms P! I don't know why she was slacking off yesterday, but it sure made me nervous! Maybe it was just a bad strip, but I didn't see a need to re-test...I figured I would find out soon enough if it was an odd test or really something to worry about.
Not only has Trix been a glutton this morning, but she also pulled out a beautiful Mannie Fuds Dance dancing_cat ! I think she has only done that once since the p-titis hit last April, and before that she was a daily dancer...it was a beautiful sight this morning! I came down for her "+3" pokey and snack. I headed to the laundry room, where I prep her fuds and meter. When I came out, she was waiting outside the door, looking at me with those big, green, expectant eyes....and then she danced
! Just one little spin because I was so thrilled I immediately gave her the plate. She then ate a healthy portion with the plate on the floor, and then headed upstairs. Of course, as an Italian MamaBean, I insisted she MUST eat more...so I followed her, plate in hand, and she then came in just a few crumbs shy of CPCing it. It was good way to start the day.
Today is my Dad's second round of chemo. I can't believe it's already been 2 weeks since round 1! I'm going to the infusion again...being the helicopter that I am, I'm just too worried about them missing any important info - this has all been so overwhelming that they are having trouble retaining and absorbing things the doctors and nurses have said. Normally I have the same problem, but I guess my instincts have taken over and I've become their ears and note-taker. Maybe after this round I'll feel more secure about letting them fly solo....but we'll see. Once my Dad got over the hump of feeling really, really crappy a few days after Round 1, he started to feel pretty great, and that has been a huge boost to morale. Prayers that things go the same way this time, if not a little better...
With that, time to get ready to go. Have a great day, LL!
