I'm really not sure where these pinks are coming from. I did let him get a bit deeper into the lagoon last night, so I guess that's likely why. But with him surfing yellow the last couple days, I wouldn't think a 148 would cause a bounce - though I suppose he could have dipped a tad lower. He ate a full meal at the 148... but sometimes he doesn't get much of a food spike.

At least these "mini bounces" SEEM to be less severe than his bounces have been thus far. Hopefully that trend continues. Hopefully now that he's surfing yellow fairly consistently we can get things rolling.

I'm thinking another increase is in the cards for Friday morning (I have the day off, then the weekend). We did have the one near-hypo episode early in this dose... but nothing since. I've been GENTLY steering his curves to avoid fast drops, but nothing drastic - and for the most part, no EXTRA food, just playing with timing. Thoughts?

UPDATE: Well, so much for "mini bounce". 401?? REALLY?!? Come on Tink... what the heck are ya doin' dude?? confused_cat

It's also possible that Tink had a fast drop some time during the day. With some cats, I've seen bounce from fast drops produce worse bounces than low numbers.

I think you are right on the increase when you are able to monitor. The goal it to get him to spend the majority of time in normal numbers. He's had plenty of time to get over the bounce from the greens earlier on in this dose.

Another possibility to keep in mind is a high before a break. We'll see how Tink is doing and then you can decide if more insulin is needed.
