YESTERDAY'S CONDO:
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=125115

I guess I was wrong on the fur shot and it was the end of a bounce. Max apparently surfed green all night. I hope he comes up a little and then surfs nicely without drama today. He didn't meow for food this morning but he did eat his baby food and ff which is a good thing.

Re: 9/12 MAX AMPS 71

What a start to the day!

Have you had a chance to check in on your mom yet this morning? It's fantastic that they think she's almost well enough to be released from the hospital. I'm continuing to send lots of prayers her way!

Re: 9/12 MAX AMPS 71

OK, Max, eating is good thing. Now, surfing safely is good, too. Try it, please.

Always vines, Elise. Sure hoping everything with DM settles down.

Re: 9/12 MAX AMPS 71+1/159

It looks like a bounce might be starting as this is too much for a food spike. Max is back to being a drama king. At least he seems comfortable this morning. Maybe he won't go much higher since he just came off a bounce.

Shelly, I got two reports on DM. The first was that her BP and HR were quite high and there was some wheezing. The next was BP coming down and HR too. So we need to see what her docs say when they come in.

Thanks for the visits Darin, Shelly, and Marilyn.

I'm thinking I caught him just before he started back up this morning and then he had his food spike. I don't think this is going to be a bounce.

DM: BP still high and HR too. Waiting for cardiologist to adjust meds and I doubt she will go home before tomorrow at earliest. Fever gone so I think infection gone.

If things ever settle down here I am once again considering a switch to lev. Max just isn't going down the insulin scale at all and continuing to bounce. Every time I think it will happen it doesn't. Yes I am just a little frustrated as we are now approaching 9 months that I have tried so hard with him and even longer if you count his starting insulin 1 1/2 months earlier. Since he was taken off in December I am just counting from January when he restarted lantus.

Once blood is drawn and if it is okay it looks likely my mom will come home this afternoon after all. Fingers and paws crossed.

Gee, you have two roller coaster rides going at the same time today - one with Max and one with your DM! I hope they both level out soon!

Sending smooth surfing vines for Max and healing vines for your DM. Glad to hear she may come home (let's believe it when it happens, okay?) :-D

So true, Tricia. I feel like I've been on a roller coaster for years. Actually I have. However if I weren't on a roller coaster it would be far worse in both cases. Getting old is so difficult.

Nice greens for Max today. I hope his bouncing settles down. I hope your mom gets to come home today. Sending prayers. :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

DM is coming home as I write this. I hope the follow through is better this time.

Yay! I'm so glad DM is coming home. Continuing to send feel better vines her way and I hope the transition home goes well.

Max looks great today! If you look at how much blue and green is on his SS - he looks like a tightly regulated kitty. The smattering of pinks and yellows recently is most likely due to schedule adjustments. He really looks like he's going to get right back on track for you. I imagine that once he gets back into the swing of things, he will probably start to push for some reductions again. I know it's hard when you work so darn hard at this not to have your kitty go OTJ right away, but you are keeping Max much healthier for your efforts regardless of how fast he goes down in his insulin needs.

I'm glad your MOm is coming home...continued prayers for a speedy recovery - once and for all! Lovely day for Max, too. Sending many hugs your way, Elise....I really hope you get a breather ASAP.

Thanks Jen and Amy. It took over four hours for them to get her medicine ready so she could go home. She didn't leave the hospital until after dinner.

No idea why Max's BG is on the rise again.

It's great to hear your DM is home. :-D They do so much better in their own places.

Max had a great day today - same start as Neko, but at least he went back to the lagoon. Maybe he's giving you a chance to sleep at a decent time tonight.
