Another drop will do you day

Well, we don't really know that one drop will do much, but with Zener's ongoing appy issues we are having to be extra careful with dosecreases. It seems like feast or famine with the appy. Today is not one of his better days, but he is outside in his backyard under the lounger keeping an eye on bird visitors to our bird fountain. One especially cheeky little blue bird got awfully close and Zener had to to a "rat tat tat" sound to announce his presence.

Aww, so sorry to hear about the bad appy today. Sending lots of appy vines his way.

Does Zener just keep an eye on the birds, or does he try to put some claws into them? We have lots of poor birdies who don't survive our civie attacks. Fortunately, Jersey is a lousy hunter.

I've been really dying to hear how that "rat tat tat" sounds are properly made by the other cats.
Ginger doesn't do that. She sometimes makes sounds, but I don't think that's the same sounds people explain.
Lucy used to sort of vibrate her lower jaw and made some sound like ke-ke-ke-ke, but I don't think she did it properly. :lol:

I hope Zener's appy gets better today. My kitties will sit in the window and "talk" to the birds. Sometimes they even sound like the birds. :lol:

Neko always lets me know when hummingbirds are at the feeder. I love that chattering noise.

As requested, Zener has made it to the blues! It's been a week, and an additional two drops of juice, since we last saw such a nice color. He was a little more enthusiastic for his dinner tonight, and now he is taking his post dinner snooze in MamaLizBean's lap. :razz:

@Shelly & Jersey - he loves to watch the birds, and when he is feeling good, he will give them a chase. Fortunately, his cerebellar hypoplasia did not help him be a very good hunter!

@Mariko - so great to see you here in Zener's condo, thank you for stopping in! Zener's sound has a bit of the ke-ke-ke to it too. I bet Lucy was very good at the bird calls! :YMHUG:

@carla - what bird calls do you kitties do the best? :lol:

@Wendy & Neko - as requested, Zener is starting tonight in blue! He had fluids today and also didn't eat his usual amount in the AM cycle, so we shall see what happens tonight. We still have a few hummers at our feeders. The Rufous hummingbirds left a few weeks ago. Now, we have broad tails, most are getting ready for the big trip to the warmer south.

Hi guys,
Rusty pretty much ignores the birds on the feeders: he's only interested in the rodents (who manage to eat most of the seeds). Our hummingbirds (Ruby-throated Hummingbirds) are still here, but they should be leaving soon. I've only seen females for the last week. The males have left already.

Eat yer fuds, Zener! See you tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping in to steer our Zener to the safe zone! :mrgreen:

We cracked open the high carb and he was verrrry happy, ate well too. No honey laced treats, so no wiggling.

More tests to come. Could be a PJ party tonight at Zener's.
