I used the vial again. It appears the bounce is over so if he doesn't come down more today or tonight I will start one of the new pens. The three pens were sent to me at the same time so if it doesn't bring a change there will still be doubt. I'll get a new script when I take Max to the vet Monday. I might get one for lev as well.

My mom took a fall in the bathroom early yesterday morning. She's okay but hurting. We are awaiting the latest culture.

I agree with Amy's comment yesterday that if you decide to switch to a pen, use a totally new, untapped one. What were you using when he had that great run of numbers 9/26 to 9/29? You said he isn't feeling well....have you had a chance to take him to the vet? I wonder if he's having a little pancreatitis causing his numbers to rise? I know you know him well enough to recognize if that's it. We are sending him major healing vines.

Also for your mom. Bless her heart. That falling is the absolute pits. My mom continues to do it...she is so stubborn. I hope your mom is ok.

Hi Marje and Amy.Thanks for the input. I was using the vial when Max had the good run but it's the one with the expiration of 9/14. He isn't bouncing any more but is all blue and high blue at that. I don't think it's pancreatitis because his appy is good. I have a vet appointment for Monday. I could have gone tomorrow but the Monday one is his first after lunch so I can go right into his room and not be with the dogs in the waiting room.

I went to see my mom this afternoon. I think the antibiotics are helping the infection but her back hurts from the fall. She was just beginning to get her strength back. We haven't got the results back from Monday yet re: the infection.

Max seems to have surfed blue since last night. Let's see what he does tonight.

Looks like the blue surfing is continuing into evening. Dare we hope a dip in the lagoon in the moonlight is in store? Keep it safe, Max!

I'm so sorry to hear that your DM fell. Poor lady, she really has been having a tough time. I'll continue to keep her in my prayers.

Thanks, Tricia. Yes, it looks like he is headed down. I don't want him to drop too low. I really need to find a mc food. The tj I have is just 9%. The other ones I have are all hc. I tired cowboy cookout but he doesn't like it nor will he eat turducken. Any ideas anyone?

Looking good tonight Max! I had some Wellness Chicken and Lobster around as MC to try. I think it's 11%. A bunch of their Core minced, cubed, slided or Healthy Indulgence pouches are also MC.

Max is sure looking good tonight! :mrgreen: I am so sorry to hear about your mom's fall, but it sounds good that the AB is working for her, hope it continues. Wendy beat me to the punch, Wellness Core is 8%, Tiger likes the Chicken,Livery and Turkey and it seems to work to stop quick drops.

RE:Max's vet trip, I can empathize on the dogs in the waiting room. We are lucky, at our vet, they get you right into a room if there's a dog waiting, I've always appreciated that effort because it saves Tiger from that stress.

Thanks Wendy and Ruth. I'm looking for a food around 12-15%. Wellmess I've been told wouldn't be good for Max because his urine PH is 7 and it tends to run high for that. The tj is 9% and when he starts to drop into the 60's doesn't seem to keep Max up.

Ruth, each vet has his/her own exam room where I go so there isn't a place for us to go. If I can I go on Tuesdays when the surgeon is in surgery and doesn't use his office in the mornings or else I schedule for the first of the day or after lunch like I did so that I can go into his exam room to wait.
