TGIF!!! Many prayers and healing vines for Polly, Charlie, Cinco and Sasha, JD, Zener, Trix, Rhiannon's Shadow, Billie, Tess, Tiger, Elise's Mom, Wendy's Mom, and Amy's Dad.
The look on LBG's face when Lupita came in today was priceless. She was in the top of her condo on the catio. At first, she flattened her ears and her eyes got big and round and the look on her face was like NOT YOU!!! I thought you got fired!!!. But then Lupita talked softly to her and went up to her and Gracie actually let her scratch her chin with nary a hiss!! I told Lupita she was hissed out from hissing out Tobey for two days after his vetty visit (they are now best friends again and she has decided he smells like mama again). So yes, Carl is right; perhaps there is hope. Gracie and Tobey have a set of those cubes that attach to each other so you can build tunnels for them and they are usually on a guest room floor in different configurations. I had just decided to get rid of them because they never use them. But Lupita put them on the guest bed so she could vacuum and when I walked past the door of the guest room and looked in, Missy G had made herself quite comfy in one of the cubes. Obviously, they have to be on the bed
She woke me up at 3:15 this morning vomiting and it was a fairly liquidy and large...like water. When I tested her, she had come down (I was going to test her at 3:30 anyway). I didn't want to give her the 18% she had had at +5.5 so I just gave LC and some karo and she acted famished and ate it. I know this vomiting is the liver issue. She has a recheck with the IM specialist next week. I wish she would not do this vomiting as it really worries us. Other than that, you would not know there is any issue with her liver.
She got the last laugh on us yesterday. It was Mike's last day of vacation and when we got a 258 at +6, we decided to use the raincheck we had for a round of golf at the resort by our house. So we got a tee time, rushed to get dressed, got our golf bags in the car, and decided we'd still better do an out the door test as it had been an hour and we'd be gone for at least four. She was at 180    I thought we could give her some HC, retest in 30 and if she was stopped, we'd be ok. But Mike had a much better idea and that was to not feed her but retest in 30 to see if she had stopped herself because she sometimes does. That way, we wouldn't have to worry about HC wearing off if she stopped w/out food. He's a genius. She stopped herself cold and was 190 at +6 so off we went and she was 185 at +10.5. Of course, it took us both a few holes to settle down and start to focus but we had a great time.
I'm working and have a meeting in a few minutes but have a great day and I will definitely be around to visit condos tonight.
