I really hope you guys understand! this last week for bailey, and me has been horrendous! he went back to sleeping under the radiator not wanting to know me, me hand feeding,his legs terrible. I couldn't watch anymore. im sorry. I know it probably would've been beneficial for me to carry on, on levermir but I just couldn't carry on watching this!

anyway, although hes high, the weeing and drinking has halved today.hes currently curled up in my arms (making it hard to type) so im going to hold this dose for a few days now and let his pancreas and body settle back to the lantus. its/him as been thru the mill the last few weeks. tthen we'll decide whether we need an increase/decrease. all this is so tough and I just have to do whats best for my boy.
theres only me and him and hes my everything! always has been! always will be!!!

Hi Anna - I hope everything works out for you and Bailey on Lantus. Could I ask a favour, could you add a note to Bailey's SS that you have switched back today?

Although I guess that people say you have to give the Levemir awhile to "settle", I don't blame you a bit for going back. You know your kitty better than any of us, and if you felt he was feeling that much worse on the Levemir, than you did the right thing by changing back.

Now we just need to find a good dose that will get his attention!!

thankyou for understanding. I just couldn't watch it happening all over again. the hiding out under the radiator in the bathroom 2 days ago was the absolute deciding factor for me. this hasn't happened since the 9 units of lantus 6 months ago and I wasn't waiting any longer! I couldn't!!!
hes happy today,his weeing, and peeing halved even though high numbers. I just think lantus suits him.levermir was great for 5 days.he seemed to love it. til I started to increase then I noticed the difference in his demeanor. the drinking ,eating peeing increased to when he was diagnosed. I just couldn't go back to that!!!
ive done whats right for HIM!! hes currently shouting in his clicky way on the widow ledge in the bedroom.i know hes ok.checked for ketones today too.all good!

hes a clever boy and I love him more than life itself!!!.my fur baby is back on the lantus and il increase when the times right!thankyou for understanding!!!
