10/25 Rusty AMPS 187, +5.5 72, PMPS 126

Hi Everyone,

We are going to the Met in HD shortly (The Marriage of Figaro). Our theater is doing it one week late this time. Rusty will hold the fort. He ate about 2/3ds of his nighttime food and so far has showed no interest in breakfast. But he ate about half of his "lung treat" this morning I weighed him (last weighing was at the end of August) and he has lost about 7 ounces in two months: down to 15 lbs. 7 oz. He hasn't been eating great (forgetting to eat), and I assume that is the reason. I think we'll see the vet next week or the following to have some tests. I don't think he's sick, but I know that cats are good at hiding stuff. At the moment he is out in the back yard, hunting.

We had sunshine for about 5 minutes this morning!! Now it's getting ready for an afternoon of rain. A good day for the opera!

Good idea to get him checked out, I hope it's just the food thing. Have a good time at the opera!

I agree too: best to get him checked out. They are so good at hiding stuff. I hope it is just the food thing, maybe just getting sued to weatehr changes too.

Eat your fuds Rusty. It makes you strong for chasing those rodents! Good idea to get him checked out, just in case. I know Neko always had seasonal weight changes.

Hey Rusty! Mama said you forgets to eat sometimes. How the heck do you do that? That's all I thinks about! Do you want me to call you and remind you to eat when I gets fed? I'd be happy to help, since you watch over me when I's in the lagoon. - Cinco

I agree about getting some tests run - it's worth it just for the peace of mind.

Hi again,
The opera was splendid. When we got home Rusty was eating some of the food left out for him. He always gobbles down his freeze dried chicken treats, and he ate some Pure Bites as we were leaving for the opera. Found a little freeze dried vomit on the rug when we got home! It was a new bag, so I think I'll open another bag just in case this bag is bad.

Just about time for PMPS. Bbl,

P.s. One of Edward's favorite movies, The Haunting, is on TV tonight. I guess I'll watch it, too

Glad you had a nice time at the opera tonight Ella- but sorry to hear Rusty had a bit of an upset tummy. Probably not a bad idea for a check up if this weight loss continues and his appy isn't picking up. Sending appetite and feel better vines, his numbers sure have been great though! RE:the Pure Bites barfing, DH was tending to give Tiger way too many Pure Bites, causing her to gag and vomit, until I caught him and explained not to do that! :roll:
