Yesterday's Condo

I still haven't updated J.D.'s spreadsheet with yesterday's numbers. And, I should have slept in or went back to bed and didn't. I have to try to remember to do that tomorrow.

J.D. ate a little FF at AMPS and has had syringe feedings since and we have had 3 walks.

The cyproheptadine doesn't seem to be helping him to eat and I just read on Tanya's CRF Site that it can cause low blood pressure and urine retention and if given with oral potassium salts can slow down the GI transit and then increase the local exposure of high potassium concentrations which in turn may lead to GI tract ulceration or stenosis."
So, I'm off to pick up a prescription for Mirtazapine. May as well give it another try.
I also heard that because of the Ebola scare that hospitals are hoarding fluids, so I'm picking up a prescription for a case, and dropping that off at WalMart, and bringing Ginger with me to show off her witch's costume at the PetsMart next door.

Hopefully, J.D. will be fine while I'm gone.

Ginger was a hit as always at the vet. She walked in on her leash and the people in the waiting room fawned over her.
She had to wait a looong time in my car at WalMart, as they took so long to get the order in.
She got her picture taken at PetSmart and got a treat bag with some Temptations (off the shelf of her choice) for her treat.

I did an out-the-door-test at +5 for J.D., and we didn't get back home until +7. We had another walk, and it is now +9, so I think we'll take one more walk in the beautiful autumn afternoon, and then maybe maybe, I'll take a nap.

Pretty nice low blues day for JD. :-D :-D

Interesting about the fluids hoarding - I wouldn't have thought about that.

Love the pic of Ginger - what a cutie!!

Really nice numbers for J.D. today. I love to see him in blue, especially when it's not because he isn't eating!

Ginger is adorable in her witch's hat! I'm sure she is a good witch, though. What a sweet face. :-D

Sending lots of appy vines for J.D.

I hope you got your nap, Dyana!

The lady sitting next to me at the vet said to me "I didn't know cats were like dogs. That they could be so obedient." That's because Ginger was on the ground, and I patted the seat next to me and said "Ginger, why don't you come up here?" and she jumped up and pushed herself at me to stroke her. I told the lady that she is a girl and she is obedient 50% of the time ;-)

J.D. woke up with a start at +10.5 and went to his empty food bowl. I wanted to take advantage of his wanting to eat, so gave him some MC that I just bought at PetsMart that I was hoping he would eat..and he did :)

I don't know if this was the right thing to do, with his dives, but I tested him at +9.5, thinking I would give him some R if he was HI or in the 300s, and he wasn't. When I tested him at +11, he was 503, so I gave him a teeny drop of R. whew

Tonight, I am barbequeing a steak. He hasn't had that in a while. I hope he will like it.

I'm glad J.D. ate some for you. I hope he enjoys the steak. Ginger looks so adorable in her costume. I'm glad you were able to get some fluids.

I'm breaking the rules by bumping up JD's condo from yesterday, but i was checking on you guys and wanted to say how cute Ginger looks! that's just hysterical that she's wearing that out around town. :-D

hope you're getting a day off today to sleep in, dyana.
