Yesterday's Condo

Apparently, Cinco doesn't care for my sleeping late after a night out. Holy cow, did I wake up quick at that 3.75! :o  I retested twice, just to be sure. 1st - 36, 2nd - 48 3rd - 38. Two out of three wins. Reducie it is! I kind of thought he was low because when I brought him breakfast he came to meet me at the edge of the family room carpet, instead of waiting in his favorite spot to be served as usual. I just didn't expect him to be that low!! Now I guess we're headed for a bounce. If so, do I take the reduction tonight or shoot through the bounce and take it in the morning? I can stay up late if I need to. Thoughts?

Sasha got one of her socks off overnight. I was thinking about getting some Soft Paws. Has anyone here ever used them? Do you think that would help prevent her further irritating the skin on her neck? I'm running out of ideas. She ate half her breakfast this morning, as usual. Didn't want any more later. I'm waiting for DH to come home with some more baby food - used the last jar last night.

Exciting day around here, and not just because of Cinco's little performance. Very good NASCAR race, and my guy won!!!! As soon as the post-race interviews are over, I'll see if I can make it to Petco before they close.

Thanks for visiting last night. Carla, Ann, Ruth and Liz. Ruth, good luck with the sewing. We'd be happy to be your tester. The problem with the baby clothes is a Newborn is too small and a 0-3 is too big. The small in doggie shirts seems to work better, but no turtlenecks that aren't sweaters in the stores, and it's too warm here for those. I found a doggie turtleneck on e-bay and bought it, so we'll see how that works when it gets here. It's going to be a while before that hair grows back, so we have time to experiment!

Sending healing vines to all in need, and hugs to all their beans. :YMHUG:

It looks like Cinco wanted your attention this morning. I would think you would need to see what his PMPS is before you decide if you take the reducie or not. I hope you can find something that works for Sasha to keep her from irritating her skin. I don't know what soft paws are.

 :o  :o ...another diver in LL today! Holy moly, Cinco...no need for such drama!

Between your driver winning and Cinco, I'll say it was an exciting day for you!! Sasha is just way too smart for her own good!! I hope you can find something that stays on her without being too tight. Doesn't she know how stinkin' cute she looks in her little outfits??

Have a great evening, Tricia!!

Holy cow Cinco! Don't you know mommabean isn't a morning person? Congrats on the reduction.

I wonder if there are any pet halloween costumes that might cover Sasha where she needs protection? Seems to be a ton of those for sale right now.

Re: 10/26 Cinco PMPS 258

I didn't get any input on reducing tonight or not, so I decided if his PMPS was above 250, I'd wait to take the reduction until tomorrow morning. He was at 258, so I shot the 1.25. DH will be happy to get to shoot the even 1.0 tomorrow! :-D

Despite lots of snacks today, Cinco was more than happy to eat every bite of his dinner and the extra tablespoon or so I gave him. It really helps a lot that he has such a fantastic appetite. Now we'll see if does his yellow surf thing tonight, bounces or comes down. My money's on the surf.

Sasha, on the other hand, wanted nothing to do with her dinner, so I opened a jar of turkey baby food and SHE ATE EVERY SINGLE DROP OF IT! :-D :-D :-D :-D So if it's baby food she wants, it's baby food she'll get! Her vet said that was fine. I just have to lock Harvey out of the room, 'cos he goes nuts for baby food. He was not happy when I opened that door and showed him the empty jar! He did get to lick the lid, though.

Since DH didn't get home with the baby food, I went to the store and got some. They only had a couple of jars of chicken, so I got some turkey, too. I saw someone here has fed the ham, so I got a jar of that to try. I'll have to stock up more this week. I wish Costco carried it!

I went to Petco and got some Soft Claws - not the original Soft Paws I'd seen, but the same idea. DH will have to help me put them on her. She's actually kept the doggies socks on all day. I might give her another day or so before I try them.

DH is just now headed back from Sac - he went in early this morning to work with his friend that he consults for - still having problems with that computer virus. He doesn't get paid for it, but Bryan takes us out to dinner a couple times a month and gets us computer pieces at cost (and sometimes free). I got my washer and dryer after a particularly complicated problem was solved. This one, on top of the last several Sundays, might have earned me a new dishwasher!! I'm going top of the line, too!    Guess I'd better get busy researching! ;-)

Re: 10/26 Cinco PMPS 258 +2 245 +4 235 +6 215 Pilling Find

Sometimes I hate it when I'm right. Yellow surf tonight. Reducie tomorrow morning. Then who knows what Cinco has in store for us?

I found something at Petco called Pill Masker. It's basically the same stuff as pill pockets are made of, but it's a tub full and you just take as much as you need to cover the pill. I'm sure it's not diabetic friendly, but since you can take a very tiny amount, it's probably not too bad. Harvey loved it. Minka, no surprise, wanted nothing to do with it. I wrapped Sasha's Ondansetron in its gelcap in a little and she ate it with no hesitation. I had a little left on my finger and she smelled it and almost took my finger off!!! I was delighted, as pilling her is a major pain. Just thought I'd share in case anyone else wants to give it a try. It's much cheaper than pill pockets, too.
