Since Max was eating pretty late into the cycle and has jumped up in the last 4 hours over 100 points again, I think he will either bounce today or tonight. I was thinking about starting to make up for daylight savings if he was under 100 this morning but since he wasn't I gave his shot at the normal time. I thought I might sleep in a little and give it later if I did. I can't decide whether to do the 15 minute or 30 minute way.

Yep, he is bouncing!! No surprise this time. I fed him Paw Lickn Chicken and baby food only so I don't think it's a food spike.

I did feed Max some hc when he hit 57 last night. I'm wondering if I should not have done that and seen what he did? Maybe by doing that I created this bounce. Then again maybe the drop last night down to 57 caused it. I'm getting so tired of these highs and lows and bounces following that last too long. He's getting tired of all the testing too. He lets me do it but isn't too happy about it and hasn't come up on my bed except when I've been gone and I'm not in it.

Oh poor Max! I know what you mean about his being tired of the testing. Cinco is, too. I am a compulsive tester! He starts signalling he's had enough by flicking his ear out of my grasp right as the drop of blood gets to be enough to stick the strip into! Next step is a very quiet little growl in the back of his throat. He rarely goes beyond that, but I get the message! :?

Sorry about the bouncing. I get frustrated by it, too. I hope someone with more experience will come along and give you some good advice about dealing with it.

Elise, just vines for you and Max. I sure don't have any suggestions or answers, but I have lots of vines and I'm shipping truckloads your way. This whole sugar dance just gets so darned frustrating. I cope just by letting what happens happen and trying my best to do right by Miss Polly. Still, her numbers and my mood are inversely related. Working on letting some of my angst go. So hard, though.

Hi Marilyn. I'm okay. I'm used to the bouncing. I'm more wondering about how to deal with daylight savings. I'll likely do the 15 minute increments as it likely won't matter. Thanks.

I hate dealing with bouncing and DST. I hope Max clears this bounce soon. I move Furball's shot in 15 minutes increments because she's very sensitive to shot time changes.

I hope Max leveled off that bounce and is heading back down by now. The time change always threw me off....sometimes I did 15 minutes shifts; others I did the half hour thing. They always get back on track pretty quickly however you decide to go with it.

Thanks Amy and Carla. I moved his shot up 15 minutes tonight since he is still bouncing. I have all week to play with it.

Hi Marje. Welcome back! Never a dull moment around here that is for sure. Max and my mom are definitely making me feel my age!

I don't bother trying to get the change to PST done by Monday. I slowly make up the difference when it works for me. Pushing feeding times back very slowly works best here. :lol:
