Even at the new higher dose, Clare takes awhile to clear her bounces. Tonight, she's coming down and we're spreading out her food more so that she won't dive so quickly. Limited success, because she didn't much like the LC food we picked for her dinner and didn't eat too much at PS. She liked her LC +1 and +2 meals better. Hopefully we'll learn more as we go. ;-)

Have a good night, Everyone!

Dive much Clare?  Nice to see those greens but a little slower would be good too.

Are you feeding her a bit higher carb LC for the +1 and +2?

Hi Wendy and Marje,

Sorry, Marje, I just saw your message on yesterday's condo and haven't had a chance to read it yet. We started by stretching out just her LC food for +0, +1 and +2. Tonight didn't work well because she didn't like her +0 food so we switched her for +1 and +2 and she ate well then.

When she started to get into the 40s I gave her some 8%. Then finally at the 3rd number in the 40's I've given her some drops of maple syrup on a couple of pieces of chicken breast, which has always brought her up before. So we'll keep monitoring.

Is there anything that either of you would recommend we do at this point? And what could we have done better? Thanks for any advice and details about the new approach.

Hi Marje and Wendy,

I just read your post Marje. Thank you for the explanation of the approach, which is very clear.

We would like to try this. We'll be away from Friday to Monday this coming weekend, so we'll begin to work with it next week after we return. I think we should order a baby scale to be able to get a good weight on Clare. She needs to add a little weight, she's been a bit underweight since she was diagnosed.

In a day or so, I'll write to ask about the dose you'd advise we use for our caregivers, who won't be testing while we're away.

Thanks very much,

Georgette
