Happy Caturday LL!! Cheering on JuJu and hoping he can start a trial soon; also paws crossed for Chris Farley's trial! Many caring thoughts to all who are ailing.

It's interesting to me how Gracie's and Tobey's patterns change with the cooling weather. Last night, I went to wash my face to get ready for bed and turned around and they had both followed me into the master bedroom and were already IN bed waiting for me    It was only +4 and I last feed Gracie at +5 so they had a while to wait. They both cuddled right up to me when I did lay down and we had a great snooze until +7.5. I had not intended to check Gracie again until +8 but she woke me up climbing on me and meowing. She does sometimes climb on me but she doesn't usually talk a lot at night so I thought I better see if she was telling me anything. She was coming down but not fast so I cuddled her back in with me and she went back to sleep, purring like her sweet baby self. When the alarm went off, they were both raring to go and were wild but as soon as T/F/S was done and I climbed back into bed to read and have my first cup of ~O) ~O) , they climbed back in and settled around either side of my legs. cat_pet_icon cat_pet_icon cat_pet_icon

Mike and I have worked hard to get Gracie's weight down over the last few years. She wasn't fat but she was a bit "shubby" as Lupita would say. Lately, we've been having to feed the curve a little more especially around nadir and if she's dropping and I worry it might put some weight back on her. We used to have a great 10% food that worked super by itself for slowing her down fast or bringing her up fast so we didn't have to overfeed but it had fish and she became sensitive to it and we've also taken all fish out of her diet. The Cowboy Cookout, which is supposed to be 18%, isn't really working that well for her and we've been having to use karo which we do not like to do. Because of her liver issues, I'm so cautious about what I give her and I worry that the FF gravies just won't agree with her so today I'm going to get some Soulistic Good Karma and Autumn Bounty both of which are 20-23% and have tons of gravy and see if they will work better without having to give her so much food or karo.

Thanks to Ann/Tess for all the work she did on the syringe comparisons. WOW!!!! What an awesome tool.

Have a lovely day.

Gracie, you are rocking the green this lovely Caturday! Keep it safe, now, LBG!

I know what you mean about the weather changing kitties' behavior. Minka has begun "going to bed" much earlier now - like soon after dinner! She curls up on the food of our bed on a fluffy comforter that's folded there. Before the time and weather change, she didn't do that until at least 9 or 10 pm! She will, however, rouse herself to come investigate when I bring Sasha a late night snack (which is usually baby food, a cat magnet)!

Good luck with the new fuds. I hope they accomplish what you need them to. Of course, you realize that Gracie will just change things up again, don't you?

Gracie in the greens...lovely! And what a sweet story about your fur babies last night and this morning. Goodness, I love all these kitties! :-D Hope you have a wonderful Caturday, Marje!

Nice numbers for Gracie.

Max likes the Soulistic pouches for hc a lot. I find it hard to get though since Petco is the only place that carries it. My local store is often out of it and I have to call around to get it. Are you trying the cans of pouches? I hope it works.

Re: 11/15 Gracie AMPS 87 +2 65 +4.5 56

Ty, Marje. Double kitty cuddling sounds wonderful

Speaking of ~O) , Ava likes the darkest roast she can find, then puts one heaping teaspoon per cup! She calls it high octane.
I can only handle one cup of her Joe. Well, the store had a "smooth" blend on sale. I thought I would sneak some into the coffee pot without Ava noticing...pffftt, yeah right! This stuff was so weak and flavor less I couldn't drink it. You mentioned the other day about sleep not being overrated, neither is a good cup of coffee!

Hope the new food works for Miss Gracie.

Marje, maybe Gracie and Tobey know U R. missing Mike so they are giving you extra cuddle time ;-)

Hope the new food you are getting does this trick for Miss Gracie. That girl really does have a mine of her own. I think she might have a little diva in her nailbite_smile

Gracie, whay gorgeous greens you have been giving!!!

Hi Marje, all kitties must feel a responsibility to respond to the cooler weather and the shorter days. Gracie & Tobey know exactly how to make their mamabean happy!

Good luck with the fuds!

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Lovely cycle for Gracie today. I hope she let you out to do some fuds shopping. I have some Weruva Grandma's Chicken Soup (21%) on standby but fortunately the Cowboy Cookout is working so far.

One of the best things about cooler weather is more kitty snuggles. cat_pet_icon

Howdy Tricia, Deborah, Elise, Matt, Rise', Ella, Wendy, and Michelle!

I picked up some Soulistic Good Karma and Autumn Bounty. Gave her two tsp of gravy when she was at 51 and it bumped her up to surf the rest of the day. Boy I hope it will stop any fast drops and bring up really low numbers so the karo can go back in the pantry. Bonus: she LOVED it and it's lower calories than most our foods.

Wendy...I do like the Weruva but I have to special order it. However, Soulistic is made by the same company so the foods are similar. It's very easy to get the Soulistic here.

Rise'...yes, she is a diva and def has a mind of her own!

Matt...Ava and I must be on the same wavelength. If my coffee can't pour itself for me in the morning, it ain't strong enough. BRING IT ON!!! Yeah!! But...I have to admit I spent six years drinking German coffee when we lived there and really got used to strong coffee. I bet she scoffed at the "smooth" blend
