Nothing much going on here....happy appy, Mannie Fuds dance, snuggly Trixie. High blue/low yellow "PSs" seem to be her thing these days...I know she's a weird OTJ bouncy kitty, but I wish she'd keep it lower than that around the clock, so I don't have to wonder all the time  . But, I do go by how she feels and behaves more than anything else, and she feels and behaves quite well :-D ! And, Mr Greenie is in da house, so I can't complain...she just has to put her own unique spin on being OTJ.

Trix's pancreas sure does love her +9 snacks, though. I wish she'd use an autofeeder, so she could always get that snack....but, she won't.

Today is supposed to be Chemo Round 6 for my Dad, but we'll see what the doc says. He seems to be better from the lung infection, but not 100%, so I don't know if the doc will want to do chemo today or not. It's nerve-rattling in both directions: if they do chemo, will the infection stay at bay? If the don't do chemo, will it set him back too far? So stressful....

It's very rainy and dreary, too, so I don't know if my Mom and I will do much in the way of running around if they do go through with the chemo.

I'd better get in motion....Have a great day, LL!

Amy

Nice +4 there Trixie! Love happy appy and Mannie fuds dance. Every time you type that, I can see Trixie wiggling her little bottom dancing around. Loveeeee the snuggles. Those are my favorite. :-D Good luck with your dad. I hope he is able to get his chemo but the dr will do what is right. ((((Amy))))

Hi Amy,
Trixie is lookin' good this morning. I hope your father's day will go well and that his infection is cleared up. Sending lots of vines to him.

You'll be happy to know that we are having a snowstorm and a "hazardous weather" advisory.

Have a good day,

Hugs, scritches,

Wow, Ms. P isn't sluggish today, is she? Guess that rest she took this weekend helped!

Sending lots of healing vines for your DF. I hope he's well enough to do the chemo. I know the uncertainty is just awful for all of you.

More prayers, too! and :YMHUG:

No chemo for my Dad again today...BW was perfect, but the doc wants him to take another week to heal from the infection. Ugh...he'll be crashing for Thanksgiving.

On my way out to meet my parents, I found a kitten! I heard this cat crying LOUD...took me a while to find it, but finally spotted her little head peeking out from under my shed. I walked over, and as I approached, she walked right up to me, as friendly as could be! No hissing, fighting, growling, or biting. Of course this happened just as I was supposed to leave with my parents. I totally panicked  ...threw the kitten in a carrier and took her with us ! My vet is close to my Dad's oncologist, so I thought I would take her there while my Dad was at his appointment. Long story short, that's not where she went, though... DH works some women who volunteer with a rescue group, and one of them took the kitten. I so wish we could have kept her...she was so sweet. But, I didn't want to throw off my balance with my crew here, plus we a financially maxed out with the 5 that we already have. She is going to a good home - the sister of one of the rescue ladies. I tell ya...this little girl has some serious lungs....she meowed nonstop from 10:30 till I handed her to the rescue lady at 3:30! She loved cheek skritches, and despite being so young that her eyes were still blue, she knew what to do with a can of Fancy Feast  ! She even washed her face after eating...absolutely adorable. DH e-mailed me to say all the women in the office were fawning over her. Boy, from being under a cold, wet shed, to car rides all over, to being loved by endless people...I bet that kitten had no idea what her day was going to turn into!

Ohmygosh! What an adorable little face! Lucky little kitty got rescued by exactly the right person.

Nice  Miss Trixie - let's see more of those please. Love the Mannie fuds dance.

Sorry to hear about the change in plans for your dad's chemo. Probably the best for him but timing is a bummer.

Amy,

She`s very cute and I am glad she found a home. You might want to check around and under your shed when you get a minute, there could be more kittens. Mama could have had a litter somewhere around there and they are starting to wander around.

I hope finding that kitten and getting her into the right hands results in some whopping good karma for your dad!

Thank you, Sienne....I like that idea, and I agree!

I did look around a little bit today, but it was really nasty weather out there. I've got my eyes and ears peeled for more, though...I know where there's one, there's probably more. I also told my neighbors to be on the watch, too. I'm afraid of finding out that we have a "situation" that could lead to repeated litters. Fortunately, the woman DH works with can help with any other kittens, and if it comes down to it, she can help with TNR, too.

Oh my gosh Amy, what an adorable kitty! Today was that babies lucky day being discovered by you.

Glad to hear that Trixie continues to do well OTJ....you should of known she was going to do this remission thing her own way

Don't fret too much about your Dad not having his chemo today. Having gone through both my Dad and Mom having cancer and going through lots of chemo when they were in their 60's , I know that it is best to let the body rest and get free of infections prior to administratoring another round of chemo. Sometimes I think doctors just go ahead with chemo when their patients are not strong enough. I know this is so stressful for you and your Mom...just hang in there!
Sending lots of prayers and hugs your way.....

That kitten is so cute. It had to have been handled a lot to come right up to you. I was so hoping you were going to keep it but it sounds like it definitely will be in good hands.

Oh my gosh, that little baby is absolutely adorable!! (I would have kept it! ;-) ) But I am glad you found a good home. what a great WCR for Miss Trixie, sorry your dad had to skip chemo, maybe skipping another week will help give him extra strength for next week's round. Sending continued prayers and vine for you and your family thorough these tough times!

Nicely done, Trix, giving your bean that nice dip in the lagoon today. Well, little Ms. Tuxedo, you sure fell into a tub of butter today, your lucky day. :-D :-D Continuing vines for DF, thank you for keeping us informed.

Such a sweet kitty. And so lucky to have been rescued and to have a home! Good work, Amy!

Sorry that your dad couldn't have the chemo today, but it's better to be cautious. Even if he crashes on Thanksgiving Day, there will be leftovers for him, and the leftovers are always the best anyway!

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Amy, you did a wonderful thing for that sweet little vocal kitten. What a cutie.
Continuing to keep your dad in my thoughts.
And Trix, good job goin' green today!
Hugs to all :YMHUG:

what an adorable little kitten! you're a strong woman to be able to let that little muffin go to someone else, even when it's a good home!

sending my best to your dad - i hope he's feeling better soon and the chemo timing isn't too awful next week. :YMHUG:
