my boys doing so well. I was the end of my vial so I don't know If the last couple of days have been because of that but as soon as I changed the vial last night I got 68. dose reduction (as its on alphatrak) for us here.

I was in a car accident fri so im signed off. never mind my pain im at home all week with my boy and mayb next week :-D I think looking at how hes going it might be a good thing (things happen for a reason im a great believer of that!!)

is it usual for him to nadir so late or drop so early on.theres no consistency! he bounces but im used to that.the good thing is hes definitely NOT bouncing as high!

Hi Anna - sorry to hear about the car accident. I hope you get better and feel better soon. Snuggling cats can definitely help with that. :-D

Bailey's SS is looking much better, here's hoping he forgets about the reds now. If you look back at July when he was getting a bunch of reductions, his low point was all over the point then too. Neko is also like that - it's hard to predict when the lows will be. But as with Bailey, I find that if they are breaking a bounce during that cycle (starting higher), then the low point is later. If they start lower (say the blues) then the low point can be earlier.

well that's good to know. ive also noticed this time around hes clearing a bounce in 1 cycle which is FABULOUS for Bails!! and no horrid reds as yet which on alphatrak is great too. when he pounced on me in the night chasing a moth (with my injury) I thought there isn't much wrong with my little dude. it just made me smile a little :-D I definitely have my boy back. when I think back to a year ago. he was so very poorly.never in a million years did I think hed still be here, never mind jumping on me,knocking vases over and terrorising the flat like he used to  .....................Im not Moaning at all.i LOVE IT............I LOVE HIM cat_pet_icon

So glad to hear he's got a spring in his step! go Bailey!

I noticed that you reduced his dose this morning. The reduction line for AT is 68 - I know he got to 70 which is close, but with so many high numbers still on his spreadsheet, I would encourage you to stay the course and not reduce early. Since you're going to be home for a little while, this is the perfect time to try to get enough insulin in him to bring down some of those higher numbers. For what it's worth, if he were mine, I'd go back to 8.5u and hold it there.

Take care of yourself - a car accident is scary. I hope you're feeling better soon.

"Normal"?? You used the word "normal"??? What's this "normal" you speak of??

Sorry to hear about your accident, but you're right...you get some extra snuggle time with your sweet Bailey, so it's not all bad!

It's wonderful to hear how much better he's feeling now too!
