The big little purry girl is curled up on her bed by my feet. I just got a mew when I reached down to pet her. I'm loosely translating it as "I'z tryin' to sleep here". Now she's sleeping and doesn't want to be bugged. But when I'm sleeping, guess who comes into the bedroom yelling for attention. :roll: And this was after a meal, so it wasn't all about food. If I deliver a few scritches, she's fine and goes quietly back to Otto watch. It seems to becoming a ritual as it's been happening the same time each morning.

The weather is wild here for the next few days. A series of storms is coming in, what we call the Pineapple Express. The weather system picks up water in the tropics, comes barreling in and drops it on us. Temperatures are twice normal for this time of year. We are currently in a sunny lull, but winds and rain will return later. The cats go in and out to the solarium based on weather too.

Another beautiful blue day for Miss Neko- she's coming down nicely! Isn't this weather crazy? First we're freezing, then yesterday it was so warm I could walk without my coat! But it is sure dark, windy and rainy today-I just hope we don't lose power! ohmygod_smile

We actually are going to get a couple of storms here as well whatever they are. We need them so badly. I hope yours aren't too bad. Have a nice night. It looks like you could have a pj party later.

The blue theme continues. We had a little nanner play before dinner. Da bean got the cookie dough prepared for the cookies for tomorrow night's rowing club board meeting (chocolate chip with almond flour).

@Carla, Ruth, Elise - Neko might have had a toe dip in the lagoon. That 100 this afternoon looks mighty close. It was dry this afternoon and still is, but forecast says the torrential rain will start soon. The special rainfall warning says to keep children and pets away from creeks and riverbanks due to threats of possible washouts. :shock:

We, too, are battening down the hatches for the coming storm. It's all they talk about on the local TV news and news radio. Reminds me of hurricane season in Florida! People are taking down their Christmas decorations for fear they will be damaged or blown away! I used to work for a claims management company, and at this point we would be putting what we called catastrophe adjusters on standby to come help handle the influx of insurance claims. Gosh, I'm glad I don't work there anymore! :lol:

Neko seems to be in the same mode as Cinco right now - blue surf. Safe and boring can be very convenient when the bean has stuff to do! ;-)
