Blue and yellow.. blue and yellow.. seems to be the trend nowadays.. it's ok though.. we have some healing numbers and we're still hopeful for greens soon. I suppose it will come..

My question is this.. How concerned should I be when I open this new bottle of Lantus I'm picking up tomorrow? We've been on this bottle since start and now we're running a little low. I'm not decided if I'm going to start it immediately.. I just wondered what thoughts are before I DO.. The one I'm using has been opened since August. I know we touched briefly on it before but I was just hoping someone could shed some light.

Yesterday's news

I would start a new vial on a cycle when you can monitor. Just often enough there is a difference when you start some new insulin. Most of the time I find there isn't a difference, but I've had a couple times where it was obvious the old one had gone bad. I use cartridges (pen refills available in Canada), so I'm switching out new ones more often than a vial.

Ok thanks Wendy. I have had my suspicions about the vial itself but I think that can be washed now due to the increase on the bounce issue... Now it's just getting to be that time.. or will be before long.

Yes, It was a refreshing start to the day!
