Max had a nice night. He woke me meowing about 30 minutes before it was time to test and then of course went under the bed so I had to drag him out.

I have lots of errands to do today before the next few days of rain come if the forecasters are right. Max still goes through a lot of cat litter despite such better numbers. I think the last 42 pounds lasted 2-3 months!

He's starting out in a nice place. Slow and sure to a nice flat surf Mr. Max. The Bean has errands; something tells me you don't want her to postpone a litter run!

Food spike likely as it's a bit early to test him but I needed to see if I could catch a 9:00 spin class. Back to test by +4. Yep, Marilyn, litter is on the list along with groceries, bank, and perhaps a present shopping. Have a great day. I also think Gerbers gives Max a bigger food spike than Beechnut.

Thanks Marilyn, Carla, and Amy. I gave Max a small +9.25 snack to see what it would do. It seems to have worked but of course one time isn't enough to tell much. He doesn't need more food but he ate less today.

He went through 42 pounds of cat litter in just 2 months. Isn't that a lot?

Nice PMPS! Now, how about a nice gentle slide tonight, Max. :-D I'll be curious to see what the late-cycle snack does for Max.

Max was pretty flat from mid AM cycle to PMPS. Now if only he could do flat again, perhaps 20-30 points lower.

What kind of litter are you using? I'm pretty bad at tracking litter usage. I just stock up when it's on sale.

Wow That's a flat blue cycle for Mr. Max! I would like to know where you find Beechnut Baby food? Every grocery store around here only has Gerber and various off brands? I get litter at Costco, with Tiger, when she was hyperthyroid she went through tons and tons of litter and now it seems like less to me. Hope you had a good day, and I am sending prayers for your mom- has she started the new AB yet? :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

@Ruth - You can get Beechnut at Walmart. At least that's where I got mine in the US. You can't get all meat BF in Canada. :roll:

Lovely blue surf today (we are officially ignoring that food-enduced stop at the yellow floor).

I'm the wrong one to tell you if 42 pounds of littler is a lot in two months. I use 120 pounds a month! Of course, I have four cats and eight litter boxes. I was just talking to a friend who has thirty cats (he has property and takes in strays). He goes through about 100 pounds a week, but most of his cats are indoor/outdoor.

My kitties like Gerber better than Beechnut. The consistency is smoother. Cinco rarely eats it, so I don't know about BG spikes.

I'm glad you got out to your spin class. More prayers and vines for your DM.

Ruth, here I can get Beechnut at Ralph's (Kroger). Max prefers Gerbers but was eating Beechnut for the past few weeks but lately not as much. Wendy I would love to see him coast along in the 70's or 80's. Jen, I can only give Max the +9 snack sometimes during the afternoons if I am home. It's usually one of my four hours of sleep at night.

Tricia, I don't think I used this much litter even with Tiffany here and she had kidney disease. I was expecting Max to use less with his BG lower. So far his kidney numbers have been good even when last checked in October.

I hope everyone has a good evening. I'm watching The Voice and I haven't any idea who should win.

Perfect day and I hope that PMPS doesn't mean he's going to have a PJ party. I thought it was neat that he headbutts you, too, but....that would be a challenge when you are drawing up the insulin and avoiding those bubbles!

That seems like alot of litter in two months! I have four boxes for Gracie and Tobey and once a month, I empty them all, scrub, and totally replace the litter. I think I go through about 20 lbs a month but most of that is in totally emptying and refilling four boxes. If I didn't do that, I'd probably not go through 15 lbs/month for the two of them...and four boxes.

Yep, this is too much litter. I use Scoop Away and I don't throw the whole box out but scoop religiously many times a day.
