Good morning World! Yesterday's Harley Gift!

AMPS 212

ALMOST blue this morning....he seems to have gotten over whatever was making him not eat well, today he wants to eat everything in sight. He's been on the counter looking for hard food (BAD BOY!) where he KNOWS he's not allowed, he's tried to open cabinet doors, stood in the hall and HOLLERED, jumped on Snow and Nuisance and glaring at the pups. When I go outside, he's waiting at the door wanting SALAD MAMA, SALAD! He's gained half a pound in the last 2 months, gotta watch that, no more fat PooKitty allowed...it gives you dire beasties!

It's Star's turn to hunt Harley today...she went over and laid on his pillow and refused to get up for a while. She and Chloe tend to tear up pillows so they don't have one, they have blankets to make beds. Chloe's decided he's not here so has quit trying to find a 60 pound dog in a bitty plastic bowl or on top of the card table. She's a bit sad but was smiling again this morning. Star will be OK, she 'forgets' things quickly so changes don't phase her much.

Schniggles! What a sweetie she is...she makes me laugh so often. Due to her hip injuries, she can't really wag her tail but you'll see this little twitch in her butt that says her tail's going 900 mph. We've figured out her routines and she ours - haven't had an accident in the house for days. She's been inside the main house several times - KT is still just staring at her...she ignores all the cats.

Hi guys .. well it seems like checkers and KT are both wanting some kibble this morning! Crazy kitties .. I'm glad that Chloe is doing better this morning and hopefully star doesn't stay sad for to long .. They need to know harley is ok, and is watching over all of you now .. I'm glad that schniggles is settling in nicely with her new family .. you are such a good bean to all your babies!
 
Having to use this rainbow twice in one week is killing my heart, 4 times this year is UNTHINKABLE. My 'little' brother was found dead this morning - he was only 47 and the sweetest man on this earth. It was sudden and very unexpected, don't know details. My parents are both in bad health, this will probably be the last straw for them too....it's not really sunk in yet....

Oh Lyresa, I'm so sorry! What a tragedy, your brother was way too young to leave this earth. How awful for you and your family. This is so hard on your parents... and you. I do hope your parents will be able to cope as they deal with this heartbreak. You need each other right now.

I am so, so sorry. What an unexpected and heartbreaking loss. If he is as gentle and kind as you describe, know that your 4-legged family are there with him. They are, no doubt, all together and safe and happy to be in such a well loved group.

Lyresa I am so very very sorry. Usually this board makes me feel so close with everyone even though I'm half a world away but tonight I am really feeling the distance. I wish I could be there to give you a proper hug and do something to help, whatever that could be. Life just isn't fair sometimes. Deepest sympathies to you and your family.
 
I am so sorry to hear this terrible news. I just can't imagine the shock and grief you are feeling... it is so unbelievably unfair that your brother was taken from you so early. Words mean nothing here but I am just so terribly sorry.

hugs to you and your family, how very very sad. A friends brother, also 47, passed away on Thursday as well! Perhaps they were both needed for something more important?

I'm SO blessed to have each one of you - you'll never know how much yours words, thoughts, hugs and prayers mean. I updated today's thread but wanted to update here too:

We now know as best anyone ever will what happened to my little brother....a horrible, terrible accident. He was at his friends home alone and evidently decided to move some stuff stored upstairs down where it belonged...he and his friend have been painting the kitchen. He was carrying a microwave downstairs. The evidently cord caught around the newel post, he slipped, the cord wrapped around his neck with the microwave's weight falling over the side. His friend found him the next morning when he came in from work. I'm really concerned now about his friend who believes it's his fault and is not a strong person. Please include Tony in prayers too....my parents are doing OK so far but we've not seen him yet, that will be our downfall.

This doesn't make it any easier but at least we know.....

I'm still in shock I think. Couldn't get in the house yet as keys are still at friends house, we'll have them this evening.
