6/30 Recap
AMPS 347 +2 456 +5.5 371 +8 327
PMPS 318 +2 349 +3 219 +5.5 133 +6.5 147 - note the 130 pt drop from +2 to +3, yikes!, but no green so up the dose scale we go.

This morning we paid the penalty for that ugly fast drop last night. She got food at +1, +2, +3 as usual but sometimes she just goes for the dive then. The bounce gave me a pass to go down to Granville Island for Canada Day. I went to drop off DH who is doing a quick sailboat repositioning weekend, but I spent some time enjoying the festivities too.

I spent the rest of the day at home catching up on my BG paperwork for the vet. I finally figured out the fasted way to present the data in the format she wants. I just managed to slide into the clinic before it closes for the holiday Monday and had a chat with my vet who was killing time until closing. She quickly scanned the data and agreed that we need to do something more and a blood draw is scheduled for next week. She is OK with doing the acro/IAA tests (as she says, it's what I want to do), now I just need to get all the procedures together to give to her.

I want to apologize to anyone who visits this condo for the late posting. Yesterday's condo got hijacked by some people who may think they are trying to do the right thing, but are going about it completely the wrong way. I was very upset after reading some of the comments, and felt I was being criticized for being a bad bean. This morning I was even contemplating stopping regular posts, just so I could avoid getting comments from certain people. To all those fantastic supportive LL'ers out there (Helen, Pip, Marj, Barb, Serryn, Anne/Liz, Sienne who responded yesterday) THANK YOU SO MUCH! :YMHUG:

Re: 7/1 Neko AMPS 491 +4 324 +7 175

Is Neko taking diving lessons from Gabby? That's one heckuva drop by +7.

I love the market at Granville Island. Actually, I love Vancouver. It's a beautiful, cosmopolitan city.

Oh. And no apologies are necessary. The information on the blood tests is on the Michigan State University website. The most important part is to make sure you or your vet follow the instructions regarding shipping and where the blood needs to be shipped to (i.e., the lab and not the loading dock!).

Re: 7/1 Neko AMPS 491 +4 324 +7 175

Wow, Neko is running the rainbow today, perhaps starting in red in celebration of Canada Day? We are here to support you and Neko, and we have paws crossed all the tests come back with information that can help you even more with the fabulous job you are doing for Neko!

Re: 7/1 Neko AMPS 491 +4 324 +7 175

Hi Wendy - I am sorry for what went down in your condo yesterday, I really am. I wish I had been around more yesterday to offer support. I really do hope you will continue with us here. No way should you even think that you are a bad bean. Completely the opposite, I think you've one wonderfully with Neko. Good luck with the blood draw next week. I hope that goes well, and gives you some answers. Good luck with the testing too, when you are ready to go ahead with that.

Sorry for the bounce this morning, they never are much fun. Neko sure did make a nice recovery though - what a great +7! WOO HOO!! :-D

Happy Canada Day! Sounds like you had a good time. Enjoy the rest of your evening.

Re: 7/1 Neko AMPS 491 +4 324 +7 175 +9 225

nice blue there Neko! stick around with Rupert a while will you?? maybe the two of you can hold each other back!!!

Re: 7/1 Neko AMPS 491 +4 324 +7 175 +9 225

In the interest of trying to be helpful - True North Vet Diagnostics in Burnaby handled the shipping. As you might imagine, shipping blood across the border isn't as easy as it used to be. The # is 604 444 4479. Tony was just re-tested on June 8th.

You might find it interesting to read this post. Some of the information may be of interest.

Re: 7/1 Neko PMPS 479

Neko has had a very colorful day.

Wendy, you do a wonderful job taking care of Neko. Don't let anyone make you feel otherwise. I've only been around a short while, but I can tell how much you love your little girl and do the best for her. :YMHUG:

Re: 7/1 Neko PMPS 479

PMPS 479
As Sienne pointed out, that +4 to +7 was quite the drop and Ms. Liver has responded appropriately. That and there could be some NDW there too, although I was pleased to see some blue in the afternoon. Thanks to all who posted to day for your support. Neko and I appreciate it.

@Sienne - so right on the drop, I guess over time she'll bounce more respectably like Gabby. Thanks for the shipping info. Granville Island was crazy today with musicians, vendors, people handing out flags and free maple leaf shaped cookies. Quite the party for the morning.

@Anne - Neko has bookended her day with red, just like the flag. Lots of people wearing red today. Thanks so much for being here!

@Michelle - you are here now and it is much appreciated. Last night's condo deteriorated quite late. Thanks for the well wishes on the blood draw - it's been 6 months so time to see what's up. The vet asked about Fructosimine and I barely had to fight that one!

@Barb - cyber hugs mean a lot right now. Thanks. Paws crossed here for blue and more green too.

@Pip - sorry, looks like Neko might be a bad influence on Rupert this evening.

@Just-As-Appy - thanks for the info. I have heard of True North so that will make it a lot easier. Good luck with Tony.

@Reagan - yes, another colourful day for Neko. I am hoping we can find out if there is a reason for this so we can tone down daily colour parade. It must be hard on her to go zooming up and down each day.

Re: 7/1 Neko PMPS 479

All of us here wants LL kitties to have nice green numbers. But sometimes, this good number did not show up on our SS "report". There are times we missed the tiny time gap when they slide to a touch of green; we all know how fast they can dive & zoom! :o
When we look at our kitties, we all notice they are doing better than before. Dont let the numbers bring you down Wendy. Neko is a happy & healthy cat. All 4Ps are there! Relax ~O)

Re: 7/1 Neko PMPS 479

@Helen - I was just telling my vet today how much better Neko is now, in spite of the wild range of numbers. She is generally more relaxed, not quite so focused on food, softer fur, much better in the LB, playing more and wanting to spend more time outside. If she is feeling better, then so am I.

Holidays are just oh so exciting! Nice WCR today, you go Neko!

Re: 7/1 Neko PMPS 479

I agree..no apology necessary! Glad to see that Neko got into some blue today. Hope she will clear her bounce soon..

(((Wendy))))... Happy Canada Day!

+3 380, hmm wonder if she's going to do the middle of the night drop again. I gave her a before bed snack of a couple tsp of Wellness LC which she dove into. Let's see if we can get rid of that trampoline.

@Anne, that trampoline is so her somedays! Too much inspiration from the US Olympics tryout pole vault competition today.

@Marj - thanks for popping by. Neko is thinking about her July 4th party clothes. I hope it's much more blue than red.
