mr punkin is doing just fine this morning. DH did the test/feed/shoot while i tried to keep sleeping (unsuccessfully) but when i got up, i could hear punkin purring away long before i saw him. he'd left a little of the merrick's BG in his bowl (i know! that says how not yummy it is.) but made sure anya made it into the CPC. fortunately, anya came to punkin's bowl and finished it off. so *whew* everyone still made it into that exclusive little Clean Plate Club!!!
punkin's had some really great numbers lately - i took him up to 9.25 around july 3rd, and he started getting much better numbers, even got down into the 30's, so we've worked our way back down the scale with him holding the reductions ok. he's at 8.25 this morning.
i was reflecting yesterday that most of the symptoms of his acro have disappeared. even the ginormous tongue that was one of the first things that made me think "acro" is looking like a regular kitty tongue now. he has no sounds of stridor (breathing rattling from excess tissue in the airways) and hasn't had them for a while. his feet are still big but i don't think that is something that will change. his voice is still a little low-raspy, but nothing like it was. there's not really anything obvious anymore that would scream "acro." except the dose, of course.
anya is curled peacefully at my feet, no doubt dreaming about the yummy food she's finding in punkin's bowl.
