Yesterday http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=76200 was first reduction earned day followed by not a bad night (thank you shed!). I am glad Neko chose 49 as a nice low number for me to test!
8/1 Recap:
AMPS 413 +3 244 +5.25 66 +6 72 +6.5 49! +7.5 77 +8 63 +8.5 64 +9 83
PMPS 225 +3 199 +6 104
Today we have some bounce action, but doesn't seem too bad so far. Neko is her usual CPC, a yard patrol and a deck patrol, and is now in the solarium taking in the warmth.
Today I went with my friend and her dog to chemo. I'm glad I went. For my friends sake, because the dog seems to be coming out of remission and now it's onto different drugs and we had to have that "what next" conversation as this is the last chance drug. He's still bouncy and seems well but his lymph nodes are somewhat swollen. All paws crossed the new drugs will do wonders. I did sidetrack the conversation a bit with the oncologist and was glad I did for my sake. Amongst her many jobs, she is on the planning committee for what she says is the only other machine in North America that does SRT properly, and that is in New York. Talking to her made me feel really good about taking Neko to CSU. The reason there aren't more machines that can do the SRT is cost. She says that the cost of cement to line the room is alone over $1 million. You need to have a lot of business to justify that expense.
Today is the day to get packing done for the trip. I'd like to get out early tomorrow. We have 3 long driving days ahead, so might not get to post tomorrow morning.
