I've never been so scared and guilty about monitoring my baby. Even after saying he was low, and that I'd be here to monitor, I still got engrossed in a job and forgot about him, 'cause he was roaming around, acting everyday normal.
He came and talked to me, was the only reason I realized I hadn't tested.
Good thing I have lots of strips, and timers :roll:
Recheck in 20.

It happens to all of us, I cannot count the number of times I have meant to test only to realize I'd miss the time slot, or fallen asleep, or forget, or been involved with something.

Looks like a busy morning for you. Green is good Checkers, but that is way too green.... Good luck Barb!

After two and a half years, doing this dance, I still panic at below 40 numbers. :YMSIGH:
Luckily, he responds well to gravy or Karo.

My my, that was a morning waker-upper :roll:

Much better, Checks! Get on that surfboard. It is so easy to get distracted. I do that too. Probably more surprising is how often we know exactly when to test.

Hi guys .. wow, what an exciting cycle for checkers!! I always panicked at numbers around 40 as well .. I'm glad you caught him and were able to bring him back up .. fingers crossed he surfs here for you, and doesn't sky rocket after this! Have a great day guys!

Holy moly, Checkers...that is quite a point you made there!

Excellent job bring him back up Barb!! It's very easy to loose track of time. THe other night, when Trix dropped like a rock to 46, I set my alarm to get up and test an hour later, and either I slept through it or set it wrong...all I know is I didn't get up to test her. Fortunately, DH was snoozing on the couch and realized I didn't test...but that was an hour and a half after I planned on testing. It happens to all of us.

Surf those safe numbers, Checks!!!

Time goes slowly and then suddenly it speeds up and flies by.

My brain is foggy so I set my cell phone alarms and that helps me keep abreast of what I am supposed to be doing. (someone just laughed at Dyana for having 150,000 alarms on her cell phone....but I totlally understand why!! I have 151,000! LOL)
When they get a low, I set the alarm for the next hour and the following hour as well...if i want to test them. My memory is shot so that helps me....
Luckily you were able to catch that low and get him up...good job! :mrgreen:
We just LOVE exciting Mondays Checkers...don't we Barb? LOL Hugs to you both!!!

That is definitely a waker -upper.

Good choice on the day to do this , Checkers. Momma's home and able to get you back up!

We all get lulled or fallasleep or what ever, good catch though! Surf right there , Checkers! Tess is waiting in the Lagoon.

I hope his little ears get a rest tonight.

Not that I like yellow numbers, but I'm glad I didn't have to make a decision about stalling, before shooting today.
I get nervous when he's still green, getting close to preshot.
Except for eating at +10, so 11 would be a spike, how in the world does he climb that high in two hours on lc food. Sheesh!

Wow Checkers! Quite the day you had there. Give the bean a break and the let the liver do some work, but not too high OK?

Barb, a day like that must be exciting, best laid plans got completely sidetracked. That 30 must have really got the adrenaline going.
