Thank you Amy, Roni, Jane and Detective poo for visiting us last night after I conked out early! Thank you all for the support and vines for some good Maggie prezzies.
Detective Poo, this is the Maggster reporting in to report no prezzies yet! :?

Morning ~O) ~O) ~O) Gosh, I was not expecting this green 98, as I even gave Maggie some food at the +9, seeing she was low enough and also hungry. She had been picky yesterday, so thus the reason for food at +9! Maggie woke me at 11:00 pm loudly, so I picked her up and brought to bed, and she snuggled there quite a while. This is a treat as normally her pattern is to appease me with cuddles and then quietly slip away back to the living room where she patrols the patio looking out across my teeny grassy area, hoping so see some little wildlife!

I think there will be a Vetty visit tomorrow for Mags, and I'm guessing he will want to manually take out the feces. She has gone too many days with no poo. Thank you all for the poo vines; I don't know why there's no action, as I've been diligent with the new cocktail of meds. Well, yes, I do with the Megacolon. All day yesterday I was researching and also searching around for other kitties with it, and had a great deal help from Gayle & Shadoe, whose Oliver has it. I posted on Health, and Lu-Ann & Grayson has some recommendations, too, for information/help. Little Grayson has Megacolon but seems okay right now, right Lu-Ann?

Wishing all a nice Sunday. Another hot one here today, but that's okay as it's still summer. I need to get out and about to Petco for some freeze dried chicken. Maybe I can catch a friend for coffee if Mags permits with her numbers today.

Well bummer on the no prezzies. I was so hoping for a prezzie report. Maybe today Maggie. Wishing you much luck Ann.

Enjoy your day today. Enoy the errands, and hopefully there will be that coffee visit with friends. :-D

Thanks Michelle, I was happy to see a green considering all her health poo problems lately. She was even playing with her pole toy earlier and purring when I brushed her. Thanks on wishes for prezzies.

Leslie, a big congratulations to you and Jasper on OTJ! We are so proud of you. Thanks for wishing her some prezzies. Please don't disappear on us. Stay with is as you can; so exciting for you and Jasper.

I have some very good Prezzie news for Detective Poo and all! Maggie finally heard all your wonderful poo vines and had a very long prezzie just a bit earlier. It's even longer than the prior, but I promise not to measure this time! :-D This would have been the 4th day of no poo had she not poo'ed! I was all set to call in the morning and take her to the Vet and see if there was a need for manualyly taking out the poo, which he had mentioned. The meds finally took effect, as I've been really diligent, setting timers, etc. I've also kept up the Miralax, getting it in her where I can, with food, mixed withwater and syringing, etc. So what a relief for no Vetty visit tomorrow. The Megacolon is a challenge, but getting to know what works and the patience thing is the key. Thanks again for listening to all our poo stresses.

I wonder if she read your computer screen about the vet threat. It's worked for us, before :)

Thanks again, every OTJ feels like a victory for all of us. I am eagerly awaiting the party, wondering if I am supposed to do something to kick it off? I plan to keep coming around and continue learning (still fairly new here) and offering supporting where I can.

Carla, no wonder Mags was playing as she was about to deliver a prezzie! :-D Maybe the play and exercise helped move it along.

Michelle & Mannie, thanks for all the dancers cheering Mags on; I showed her, and she is very proud. Yes, now I don't need to worry about a Vetty visit tomorrow. Big sigh of relief! :YMSIGH:

It looks like I won't be venturing out early to get Maggie's freeze dried chicken!

Thanks Tamara, Jane and Amy, it was all your poo vines that helped pave the way. I really do think the Vetty threat also speeded things along, too. Those three enemas could not have been much fun, and then to top it off, having Mags in view of the the Vet Techs to keep an eye on her, too! :lol:

Ann, I know this would sound weird for a non cat person to read, but I am so darn happy that Maggie pooped!!!! :RAHCAT
I DO know how you feel, as Checkers' sister Samantha, had a similar problem once. She did not have megacolon, she was just very sick and didn't eat for days.
I was syringing food into her, and I so remember the night she took a little tuna from my hand. I was laughing and crying at the same time!
It was around midnight and I called DD, to tell her that. :lol:

She hadn't poo'd for 4 days and I was frantic. Her vet reminded me, nothing in.....nothing out. That didn't satisfy me. :roll:
A friend wrote a poem about Sammi's poo, and everybody on the pet message board, was as happy for us, as we are for you and Mags.
I don't know why I felt compelled to tell you that, except to let you know that I TRULY understand how happy a mamabean can be to see a tootsie roll.! :-D :-D :-D

And awesome on her numbers today :mrgreen:

Barb and Checkers, thanks so much, and yes, you know exactly how I feel as you experienced the same with Sammi. So glad it wasn't megacolon for her. Thank you for tellling me about Sammi. :YMHUG: The support we get from the message boards is amazing, and I can imagine how happy everyone was for you and Sammi, too. What do people do with no internet service do for support when they need it! It just helps when someone is going thru the same issues.

Deborah and Shasta, thanks so much, and I bet you're on the mark with Mags reading the part on the Vet "manually taking out" the poo, and Mags sure did not want any part of that Vet visit. :lol:

Wendy, thanks, her numbers have done a turnaround and any time she plays with her pole toy is a sign she's feeling good.

Melissa, thanks so much and definitely the healing vines worked in her favor. So glad she doesn't need a Vetty visit.

I've been closely following Maggie's Poo Olympics.

She won the Gold Medal with the 6 incher. Wow.

I'm sorry she's been having such difficulties as of late. But glad to hear she is now being productive in the poo arena.

Ru loves the falls! I tested her on 8/24 and she was 105 on her Alpha. Can't complain about that!

Whew! So relieved! And another good thing -- although she wasn't pooing, she had good numbers. That must be nice to know!
