Yesterday was a yellow and pink morning, followed by a pink to blue slide at night. For the third day in a row, Neko is heading the wrong way to start the day. She likes to save the action for the PM cycle. :YMSIGH:

Normally I wouldn't get a +8.5 at night, but I wanted to see if she was doing her late nadir thing. I had planned on a +8, but somehow the alarm became a part of the dream and I didn't get up until 1/2 hour later. Needless to say, I needed a btb this morning. It's another normal day for Neko. Sunny weather, 3 yard patrols executed, nanners tossed around a bit and now napping but on the sofa this time. That's surprising, as it is sunny and warmer in the solarium.

Not sure what I'll get up to today. Soon I have to start thinking about getting the house ready for this Sunday Thanksgiving dinner.

Completely off topic, I'm including some pictures from the short hike to Quarry Rock which overlooks Indian Arm where I go rowing. Thanks to Michelle for the inspiration to get the hiking shoes out. The trail is a mostly forested with a great lookout view at the end.

Wow - nice pictures! I love that stairway into the woods, and the lake is so blue and clear. You are lucky to have that 10 minutes away from you. We have nice woods and water, but nothing like the mountains like that. We have a lot more streams and rivers. I like running through the parks and woody areas - relaxing.

Okay Neko, no big slides down in the night. Ignore Leo - he's been a rotten role model lately!

I live in a similar forest but dryer climate and lot less water....

Similar to the AMPS with just some pink in the middle. :lol: Bounce over, I suspect I'll see a different colour tonight. I was late with the +9.5 snack tonight, it was actually at +11, but all Neko got was a chicken wing tip and some freeze dried chicken. I was late because I was tramping all around the creek behind our local animal shelter. Some creep broke into the shelter last night, stole at least one cat and left open a gate so that three other cats either escaped or he took them too! :evil: A friend and I spent a couple of hours looking in thickets and rattling the Temptations bag. No luck. We're a bit worried because it's October and two of the cats are black. Who the heck steals cats from a shelter? :twisted: :shock:

@Carla - yes, Neko is sometimes predictable and the SS really helps. It's a great tool. Thanks on the pics, it's a very scenic spot. I spent almost an hour up there just admiring the view.

@Lisa - no promises on Neko's plans for tonight. Hopefully a high green and no green muck! The "lake" is actually the ocean. It just happened to be very calm yesterday. The inlet is quite protected and can sometimes be very flat water, but can be wild too. Some people were running on the trail yesterday, but there are rocks and tree roots so rather tricky. And steep!

@Rhiannon - Neko likes to mix it up, sometimes day action, sometime night. Just a bad run right now! I really ought to take advantage of the hiking more often.

@Tamara - I don't know if you ever got out to Deep Cove when you lived here, but it's a very scenic village like place. I'm hoping for nice and easy too.
