After last night's cat or raccoon chase, it's been a slow blue slide since last night! Both kitties are under the bed and firmly planted there, so I can't get the big guy out for a mid-cycle test. A friend came over and helped Liz install a "black out" blind in the bed room, and the kitties did NOT like the noise or intrusion into their sleepy Sunday morning routine - the nerve of those beans! cat(2)_steam

Liz and our friend are off to pick up a pizza for the post-blind installation celebration. Hopefully, Zener will come out from under the bed shortly after that. Hope everyone is having a good Sunday!

Thanks so much for stopping in at Fur Ball's OTJ party. Definitely quite a festive occassion. He is now crashed on the couch sleeping off all the fun. :smile:

Between the backyard drama last night, Fur Ball's OTJ party and installation of the blackout curtain, the kitties are worn out! Hiding under the bed for hours is hard work!

Another famous Zener slide. I caught up with yesterday's condo on the mysterious visitors beyond the fence and Zener guarding his turf! :lol: I guess that's why Maggie didn't have any sightings here in our yard, not even our little possum. Still hiding under the bed! Enjoy the pizza for the the post-blind installation celebration. How is Tillie? Did she do ok with poo patrol?

Maggie had her big prezzie delivery overnight, so Poo Inspection complete.

My oh my, what a day! Green bookended by blues. We started a new vial of insulin after using a vial for 2 1/2 months. We could have kept going with it, but since I am leaving for the Netherlands in 12 days, we thought it best to start a new vial while I am in here, in case he decides to run a bunch of green numbers at night. :shock:

@Leslie - it's been a few nights since we've seen the skunk, so tonight may be the night. Our weather is changing with cold temps on the way, so who knows who will wander through the yard.

Yet another wonderful day for Zener. Here's hoping that new vial doesn't cause any undue excitement and he continues in these nice numbers. Neko hides under the bed with the slightest threat of strangers doing work around the house, so I can relate to how scary that can be.

Where are you going in the Netherlands? In my previous job I used to visit customers over there so got lots of driving miles logged there.

I've got a craving for pizza now!

BIG EXCITEMENT!

Yes, Zener just had a rowrr rowwrr tussle with a young gray kitty who dared to come in his yard. I suspect this was the same animal he chased out last night, but tonight, there was contact. Liz dashed out just as Zener chased the kitty across the yard and over the fence. We did a thorough inspection and there was a bit of saliva on his scruff, but we couldn't see any punctures or other injury. He is back inside now and feeling very pleased with himself. His beans are a WRECK! :shock:
