Now Noni is 2 hours fasting pre operation

She had 1/2 FF Beef feast mixed with small spoon of Whiskas perfectly chicken. before midnight.

+2 skipping shot is 147.6.

hope that goes back to blue with fasting and doesn't increase.

Now I can sleep (I hope)

Re: 11/06 PM shot skipped +2 147.6 (Fasting for operation)

good luck tomorrow! I am expecting Tiggy to shoot up without the insulin and the stress of the operation/vets but I will deal with that after the operation. might take a few days to get him sorted out afterward. We start his fast in an hour. No way will I be getting any sleep. It will be "feed me" all night.

Re: 11/06 PM shot skipped +8 163.8 (Fasting - vomit)

We are still at the vet, just finished some blood test she's so aggressive and stressed her glucose is in the 340 due to the stress ;( poor baby !
Surgeon suggested that we don't do the spaying as she's 15 years old. He said the cut will be deep and it's useless at her age. I really don't know ! Think he knows better, he was worried that Noni's nipple has a tumor and he was worried that it will come back later so he will send sample to lab after they remove it. He's in surgery now .. Finger crossed ! Pray for my baby please ..

Re: 11/06 PM shot skipped +8 163.8 (Fasting - vomit)

Wish for a speedy & smooth surgery for Noni! Dont worry Aseel, relax & hang in there. Noni needs your caring after the op. :YMHUG:

Hey Wendy , please tell me how Tiggy is doing ?? How everything goes ?? Thinking about you all day

I did a post in his condo. We dropped him off an hour ago and don't expect him to be done till 3pm EST. vet did have his bloodwork done from yesterday and it showed his fructosamine was 389 which is good supposedly (?regulated? Will need to look that one up) but that he was a little dehydrated.. Maybe from trying to kill everyone? Sounds a little odd to me.
Anyway we will see how it goes.

Sounds like Nonis surgery went well. When do u get the sample test results?

A plastic collar? I forgot about that. Tiggy is going to go apeshit if he has one of those cat(2)_steam . Can I come stay with one of u guys for a few days??

Yes your most welcome Haha Noni is fighting with both legs and hands to remove the Colar ;( she's creeping me out !

Samples are still needs long time to go to UK for test ! doctor said its up to you if you wanna send it ! I saw the sample it was hard color is red !! She had her teeth cleaned too during operation .

I don't know when do I have to test her glucos ? Maybe I'll wait for her PM shot since she didnt eat anything

Wish everything goes smooth with Tiggy .. Waiting for the good news

Good morning Asoolty. I'm so glad that Noni came through the operation fine. We have our fingers crossed that her test come back good. We'll be thinking of you and Noni and have you in our prayers. You did a great job through all of this.

Thanks for your concern , Noni is back home thank god, hard time we had both of us ...

still 10 days until they remove stitches, shes so upset now getting back her consciousness wanting the plastic colar off

I'm glad the operation went smoothly, and fiesty is good , to a point! it shows she isn't feeling too badly. Sending vines and white light for a speedy recover and a negative result from the biopsy.

Thank you Ann, she started waking around the room now, hope shes not feeling lot of pain.

Thanks for passing by support :)

Hi guys, I didn't catch this condo before noni's surgery, but I'm glad to hear she came out ok .. hoping the 10 days go fast for her and you!

I'm so glad, she's done with her surgery and is home.
I have heard that the anesthesia can make her hungry, and you only should give her small meals at a time as it also makes her tummy sensitive and you don't want her to start throwing up because she eats too fast or too much.
Also the anesthesia could lower her numbers, so I would do a test her in a few hours.

I hope the test results come back with a good report of no problems.

Now, I hope you are relaxed more, and can get a good deep sleep.. with happy dreams.

Thank you Peter , Dyana :)

I gave her 3 spoons of light gravy .. she 3 hours a go as she was starving .. gave 3 spoons of water later on , and just gave another 3 spoons of light gravy shes so hungry ..

I will test in about an hour from now ,, when should I shoot, at what numbers ? and should I reduce the dose ?? its 2.5 u right now

vet subscribed Betamox antibiotic tabs 40mg twice a day starting tomorrow .

My vet is telling me to wait and shoot at the normal time. I need to see how he is eating first and how his numbers are though.

Her normal time is in an hour ! already skipped 2 shots now .. one last night and one during the operation .

she ate gravy and drank water

I am glad she is home after a successful operation. Have you tested her BG recently? Can you delay any tonight and be on schedule tomorrow? Do you think she will eat? When Neko had a dental, the vet suggested a half dose after the operation, so that's another option to think about.

Glad Noni's surgery was successful and she is home now, sending healing vines for her to have a smooth recovery. Most cats probably try to remove or defeat the cone collar especially in the beginning, hope she will setltle down soon.

Thanks Wendy, I will test now but I can't really tell since she's just eating some gravy ! Hope it's not too high so I can skip

Thank you Leslie, she is calm now .. Specially after she had some water and food, I have to keep that collar for 10 days vet said so she doesn't try to remove the stitches and stay clean until they remove it on the 17th
