Normally, I'd be thrilled to see Checkers coming down at +2, which should be a food spike. He's been eating like a little piggy today. He seems to like FF Beef more than the poultry flavors...or...is he instinctively controlling his drop himself? Hmmmm.

But I am supposed to be going to DS's, as the girls are off school today. I considered taking Checks.
Son and grandkids love Checkers, but he's never been to their house, and they have a cat, which has never had another cat in his house.
Come to think of it, I can't be sure, that either cat won't spray from stress or territorial issues.



QUESTION:
If anybody is up to guessing when his nadir is, would you let me in on it? His SS looks like a hodgepodge of colors to me.

Hi Barb, this is the day Kitties have their own agenda. Take a look at Shasta's condo! :lol: I hope Checkers gets up and surfs in a safe zone so that you can still do the DS thing with grandkids. Yeah I agree with the cat dilemma.

oh wow on today. I think Checks wants you to stay home... or... he does not want to go with you... one has to love those kitty dilemmas. SO Checks: easy solution: surf now for your bean and then you can have the house to yourself. I hope it works out Barb so you can go and spend some time with the grandkids.

Hvae a good one! and Checks: behave!

Did I really expect him to gladly let me leave for the day? :YMSIGH:

It's a 120 mile round trip to son, so can't come home to check.

I did give a mc, so he wouldn't dive further......this is unusual for him on lev.

Hi guys .. wow checkers! You must of heard your momma was leaving to go hang with another .. gasp, kitty!!! But be a good boy now, come up some and surf the day away .. your momma will be back soon enough!!

Looks like I'm not going out today.
I heard a big thunk, which I ignored, thinking it was Cassy cockatiel, throwing a toy in the floor.
NOPE! 'Twas Himself, knocking an open jar of kibble onto the floor.
Assuming he ate it, did I immediately think, 'oh my poor cat is going to soar now?"

Of course not....I thought "oh no, what am I going to tell the LL'ers. They won't believe it was an accident, and not a pile of pancakes. :lol:

Since then, his bg isn't coming up, so maybe he got spooked when the jar fell, and ran off.....I hope :roll:

I forgot to make food notes in journal. He had gravy at one of the 40 numbers. He didn't want snack at +5's 44, but accepted baby meat/2 drops Karo.
Hoping he didn't eat any kibble. It's EVO low carb, but still carb.

hahaa suuuuuure barb, we all know it was pancakes! :lol: :lol: Just kidding .. we know checkers can be a stinker sometimes and get up where he shouldn't, .. but that's why we love him .. :-D

Wow Checkers!! What a day he showed you. Checkers probably knew the weather was going to be bad and he made sure his bean wasn't going to be out in it.

Sorry you didn't get to see your family today, but it looks like Checkers kept you entertained. Or is that the other way around? :lol: Nice cycle.

Glad to see I'm not the only person owned by a cat that likes to have a wandering nadir. For Neko it's somewhere between +4.5 and +9, depending.... Silly cats!

On my, sorry you didn't get to visit DS and family. Checks certainly let you know where you needed to be!

W/ all the steering we do w/ food it's a wonder anyone can tell when the nadirs are! :roll:

It sounds like you had quite a day with Checkers. Sorry you didn't get to visit your family, but it sounds like that was for the best with the weather. That's too funny on the kibble/pancakes. :lol: I hope Checkers comes back down slowly for you.

It looks to me like Checkers often has his nadir at around +3 or +4. However, there are days when his nadir is rather late (like at AMPS). I think it helps to remember that the nadir isn't a fixed point -- it changes. And, Checkers likes keeping you on your toes. Rather than have a late nadir on Lev, he decided he usually prefers an earlier nadir so he can mess with your plans.

And mess with them, he does. It's impossible to make plans. I have to schedule an MRI soon, and again won't be able to shoot him that morning. Can't count on the amps to determine, even the morning numbers.
