Good morning! Hoping Mannie can deliver on the road this morning, I'm drinking regular old coffee to get me going. Today it's back to MD until Thursday night. Leo is not coming with me - I have to get my apartment inspected to move out and I'm not supposed to have cats :-| So, it has to be cat-free this week.

Leo is starting to work his new dose, and it looks like he might give DH some action today. DH won't test as much, so this is a little nerve-wracking to me, knowing that Leo's +1/+2 are good forecasters of action. I will ask him please to do +11, +0 and +5/+6 each cycle and then if there is a need I will ask him for more. This morning may be such a need looking at his numbers the last cycle. I will have to leave this morning an hour before shot time so he'll send me Leo's AMPS while I'm on the road. I asked Leo to be MELLOW and throw nothing below 50 please please please.

We had two beautiful days with warm afternoons (no coats) but this morning is chilly. I'll try to keep Leo's SS updated, but I can't access it at work. I can do it on my phone but it is a pain, but I'll keep the Condo subject updated with values as I get them.

Lisa I hope you have a safe trip back to MD. Hopefully DH will be able to do the tests you need and Leo won't go too low. I'll say a prayer for Leo to be okay while you are gone. Good luck with getting your apartment ready for inspection.

oh wow on the apt. I wish you luck with it all. and hope the prep there goes well. So sorry you can't take Leo with you. I hope that DH will do the test you ask for, at least the +2. I so rely on that test. Good luck!

Safe trip and hope all goes well w/ the apt. DH will do well, it's amazing how they will get involved once hands on care is left to them. John never thought he could test at first either.

DH went home for lunch. Leo is feeling this dose increase. DH can stay 45 minutes. I told him 1/4c 15% and recheck in 20 min. I don't know if Leo is falling now that the shed is full. And I have to run to a meeting. AUGHGHGH Otherwise I LOVE THE NUMBER! Just don't know where it's going!!!

+5.75 71. DH trying to get him to eat more 15%. Leo not interested. Advice? Seems he's not reached a nadir yet, DH has to leave in 15 min.

Comments on this? DH had to leave at +6.

The only steering he got was 1/4can 15% (FF gravy lovers) at about +5.5. I told DH to offer another 1/4c but Leo refused any more food. (I didn't think DH had time to do this 1/8can at a time like I would have done, and I wanted to see how Leo would react even if it pushed his BG higher.) He had eaten about 1/2 of his normal breakfast amount by that time. When DH got the +6, I told him he could go and just leave Leo his normal breakfasts - no additional food.

Ok, in retrospect, looking at his SS, do you think Leo just had his nadir? Did I do the right thing, knowing that DH could not stay any longer than +6? I debated leaving down MC but if Leo isn't eating, it wouldn't matter. So I didn't. Now I'm wondering if I should have asked DH to leave MC in case Leo was actually still on a long slide, but DH will test as soon as he gets home, hopefully around +8. Everything was in a rush - I kept getting pulled out of a meeting so not sure I assessed this correctly.

Hi Lisa,
By now I guess the bg situation has resolved itself! I'm sure all is fine. The +6 is a good number and coming up nicely. If you leave out too much high carb food he'll almost certainly bounce, so make a note of what your DH did today and see where Leo goes tonight.

Good luck with your apartment. How long will you be there getting it inspected? I probably missed something in your posts, but it sounds like your job in MD is ending? Whatever, best of luck!

It looks like Leo is behaving nicely for DH. Nice numbers, but not too low. Want to bet that after this experience DH will start wanting to help out more? There is something about contributing to a FD cat care that seems to bring out the caregiver in people. From yesterday's post it sure sounds like he is a cat lover. Is DH an engineer too? Mine is, and explaining the science/theory behind things helped and now he is willing to test when needed.

Hi Lisa, good luck and vines on a good inspection and getting your deposit returned. I've been there so many times. What a gorgeous cycle today for Leo. I bet, too, DH gets hooked on the testing and helping Leo! Did DH feed the kitty that looks like Leo's bro? That video was hysterical!

Hi Wendy - yes, DH is an engineer and he loves Leo. Sometimes I think he's interested in the math/engineering of it and sometimes not. I just want him to be able to look at the numbers and trends, and make decisions based on them. You're lucky yours is technical and likes it - that's great! Thanks!

HI Ella - yes, the situation is resolved. Leo seems unable to maintain a nadir around 100. He either floats to the ceiling or dive bombs. DH didn't leave out any additional food, and kaBAM! The apartment inspection is on Thursday, and apparently just a pre-walk-through to check if the rugs are stained, etc., and to let me know what might cost me $$. So it's nice, they'll let me know ahead of time. I still work in MD, but I am moving closer to work so I can take care of Leo more easily. And this place is getting expensive. Hi Lisa, Wow on that PMPS, looks like Leo ate enough gravy lovers to ge outta the greens :mrgreen: while you guys had to be at work or on the road. I hope your DH gets more into testing, as family activities go at least its not weather dependent. Hope all goes well with your apartment inspection and move into your cheaper, closer therefore better place.

Sorry for the BOING! But he will come down, no doubt a bounce from the greens.... I think you assessed everything just fine. it is so difficult to know what they will do. With Mannie it seems never to be the same - think one thing he does another... i'd make noted of what was done today, see what happens., look for the patterns.
