Yay a yellow AMPS. Furball was happy & purry this morning. I am going to leave more extra food out this morning and see how she does today. I was in Family Dollar yesterday and saw a package with a mini flashlight and a headlamp together. I thought the headlamp might help me see Furball's ear better so I bought it. It helped this morning. I was able to see the blood drop easier. Sometimes with her dark ear I can barely see the blood drop.

Yay for a yellow amps! Hahaha the image of you with your headlamp on while testing is funny, buy hey whatever works right? Hope you see some nice blues and greens today!

:lol: on the headlamp, you will have to post a picture for us.

You may do it this way already but just in case - with Vyktor's black ears I find it easier to see the blood by pricking the opposite way to how you see it done in all the video's etc , i.e. from the inside out. I use a lancing device and also find it very easy to line up the right spot doing it that way. I know exactly how much of the lancing device's top I should be seeing from the outside ear view. Hope that makes sense it's a bit hard to explain in words :?

Serryn, thanks for the tip. I had not thought of that before. I will have to try it and see if Furball will let me do it that way. That does make sense.

Hi Carla - I hope the head light works for you - I have the same problem when I poke Leo near the tip of his ear. Every now and then I do the underside but I think it might bother him more. Oh well, there's always the chicken treat to keep him coming back for more. Have a great day!

A sunny yellow amps for Furball. :-D A nice start, maybe some blues today. I always enjoy reading the happy furry purry part.

Great idea on the head lamp. I have the same issue with Mannie - his ears are black too. I also approach the ear the same way Serryn does, make sit easier. I also free hand the lancet, no device. For me I feel that I have better control.

That's better than a pink PMPS. I got to leave work early today due to the holiday and got a +9 on Furball. It was 235. I think leaving the extra food out during the day is helping. It will be interesting to see what results I get tomorrow when I can test some during the day.
 
Good to see that sunny yellow in the evening instead of pink. I hope you have a good day tomorrow, even if it does mean extra testing for Furball. My DH has one of those headlamp things that he sometimes uses when he is doing fine detail work on computers. They work great.
