Yesterday Neko did a lovely flattish and almost all blue day cycle, then decided to hit the diving board in the evening. A great time was had at the west coast PJ party with Zener, Tess, and Buster.
12/13 Recap:
AMPS 178 +4 271 +7 159 +9 122
PMPS 134 +3 69  +4 35
 +4.5 64  +5 86  +6 83  +7 95
A couple of observations from last night. She has never before gone that low that early, until now +4.5 was her earliest nadir. Neko normally gets mini meals at +1, +2 and +3. She was 69 at +3 last night before I fed her last mini meal. But Neko is an acrocat, which means she has a working pancreas. I did feed her at +3 (3-4%), but I think that contributed to the dive to +35. The question: Any suggestions about how to approach this situation in the future? I have to feed at +3, she is very demanding about her food. She actually was even more strident last night because she was dropping. Do I try for just 0-1% carbs? Go for the HC right away? With raw food it's harder to plan in advance because it takes a day to thaw, so I have a few cans around, but mostly HC or LC backup. I think Neko was angling for a deduction anyway, but the food might have made her go a bit lower.
Today we get a pokey break, as bounce recovery begins. Neko hasn't been outside yet, in spite of the dry weather and a bit of blue sky. She is less active when high. But I did manage to get a bit of play from her from the new laser toy I bought today.
