Yesterday started with a surprise :mrgreen: followed by a lovely blue surf. The evening was when the bounce began.

In Neko's typical fashion, the third cycle after the low event starts high and comes down late in the cycle. It was just as well today, I had a busy day. I had an appt with the orthopaedic surgeon (following Xrays on the elbow), our house insurance needed renewing, and DH needed a new laptop as his graphics card on his 6 year old one died last night. :cry: I also managed to swing by the pet food manufacturer that makes Neko's raw and got copies of their "as fed" analysis they just had done. Preliminary results I did yesterday before I had all the data indicates that their favourite food, kangaroo, might be the highest carbs of all. But that's because it's a lower total calorie food. Same number of total carbs as the other foods but 3/4 the calories makes it higher carbs/calorie. More spreadsheet work to do today. It's still what is defrosted for tonight's dinner. I looked at the SS, and haven't noticed any appreciable changes when roo was on the menu.

It's yet another rainy day here in Nekoland. She's been out on the deck to sniff the air, but no further. I was gone for most of the day other that back for a quick +6 poke, so not sure what she's been doing. Gotta get her +9 snack - she's yelling for it. :lol:

I hope Neko gives you a nice blue/green surf tonight, but not too low. Hopefully the kangaroo won't have too much carbs for Neko since she likes it so well.

Hi Wendy, that's a nice slide for Neko. Sounds like a very busy day. I hope the X-rays will show your elbow healing well. I hope you're not overdoing. Sounds like Neko is doing well on the raw and with the kangaroo. Thanks for checking in on Mags/

Much better than this morning. And kangaroo was the meal tonight. With the new information I got today, roo is a little higher carbs%, but 5% is acceptable.

@Carla - I too hope for more blues tonight, but unless she goes against her usual, she'll be pink. cat(2)_steam And yes to roo.

@Ann - Another typical slide day for Neko, just missed one colour. :lol: Elbow looks good, it was cool to see the Xray. I've been out of the sling for a couple of days (woke up two mornings and my arm was out of it), but the doc said that was OK now.

@Liz - Neko likes to drop, might cause a bounce because of that. :roll: Apparently the elbow is "well-positioned". But he thought PT was a waste of money. He did tell me what exercises to do. I'll try that, but if things aren't going fast enough, I'll hit the clinic.

Anne says "Good grief!" She thinks you should hit the clinic right away. I agree. Those PTs are worth their weight in gold. ;-)

@Liz - it's only 10 days after the break, so I was thinking of waiting a week anyway. I can't straighten my arm out yet without quite a bit of pain and there is still some swelling. Plus, I haven't tried driving yet. Maybe soon.

I sure wish I could get a sample of that Roo. I have images of the Looney Tunes cartoon with the baby kangaroo
where they think it's a giant mouse....
I'm always looking for some new food for Shadow .... I just need to remember that she would probably reject
kangaroo too.... :roll: if I could get it... :roll:

Ugh! Not sure what caused that. I thought there might have been a slight insulin smell on her fur later tonight when I was petting her. She seemed fine after the shot when I sniffed the area. In any case, she isn't seeing the nice numbers so tomorrow will go back up to 2.0 units. I'm tired of red.

@Helen - She went the wrong way, a combination of coming down a lot during the day, maybe some partial fur shot. Yuck! The elbow only hurts if I try to put too much weight on it or straighten it. I'm doing a lot more with it now, just have to be careful what I do.

@Rhiannon - She didn't listen to you or me this time. :roll: Kangaroo is also low in phosphorus. I think it's only available in raw food. I found some dry dog food with kangaroo in it, but that's all. I think my kitties think it's mouse too. :lol:

@Rich - Neko is too fond of red these days, so back up she goes tomorrow. The elbow has 4.5 weeks left before I can do major exercise but is much easier to deal with than other bones I've broken. I can still do most things except rowing. :cry:
