good morning from the CIty,

Rusty had a good night, but we didn't get too much sleep! He spent the whole evening napping and wanted to schmooze and get attention at night. Up and down on and off the futon. This morning he wanted us up early. We had a good test (yellow, as expected), good shot, breakfast, all eaten and second sitting coming up soon. Then a schmooze, a lung treat, and he's ready for the day.

Edward is off to the library, and I am off shortly to ride a couple of laps around Central Park with my bike club.

Wishing you all a great day. Back sometime this afternoon,

Ella & Rusty

Hi Kitties. We are going to Central Park today to eat hot dogs from the stands, watch the tourists
Feeding the squirrels, and go rowing on the lake. Tess will pick you up in the bus. She made beautiful "Mannie was here" plaques for us to put up on all of Mannie's favorite places. See you all soon.
Rusty

Hi, Ella, I hope you guys have a great day!
Maybe Rusty's excited about being in the big city, and that's why he kept you up last night (that's probably what I would do if I were in NY!).

Rusty, Iz ready for the bus trip to the city! Hot dogs, boat, revisiting Mannie's places... it's going to be a great day! I hope the squirrels don't laugh at me like they do at home... ~Ripley

Re: 4/30 Rusty AMPS 241

Oh yellow start for the big guy today. No big deal since you are in the big city. So glad you all made it and are having a good time. A bike ride around Central Park sounds like the perfect way to spend a day. Have a great day Ella!

Hey Rusty! That is an awesome idea with the plaques. I love Central Park, and hot dogs, and tourists. Yippeeee!! - T

Re: 4/30 Rusty AMPS 241

Sweet that Rusty wanted cuddles all night. I guess sometimes us beans have a hard time sleeping the first night away from home too. Enjoy the ride, I hope the weather is good.

Rusty - Did you mean feeding on squirrels or feeding the squirrels? I'm so confused. And rowing on the lake - I am so on that! Central Park is so fun! I'm big, I can help carry the plaques. ~Neko

Re: 4/30 Rusty AMPS 241, 249, PMPS 262

Hi Everyone,

Rusty had a low key day, sleeping, and sitting on the window ledges watching the scene. His numbers were flat yellow. I think he needed to recuperate from the trip. I bought 2 cans of Paw Lickin' chicken this afternoon and will try him on it tomorrow. He wasn't very hungry at dinner because he had recently finished his lunch and snacks, so I decided to wait until tomorrow for the grand tasting.

Thank you all for visiting. We had a beautiful day with lots of sunshine and not too warm. The laps around the park were fun. So many new people in my old group, but familiar faces, too. The city has really improved the striping of the bike and pedestrian lanes. It's a good thing because there are lots more cyclists than there used to be. On Thurs. we are doing a ride to Red Hook in Brooklyn, not far from where we used to live. It had been a notorious slum; now it is full of little upscale restaurants, etc. It is right on the harbor

Tomorrow my mammogram and the dentist!

Everyone enjoy the evening. Ann, I think Tess outdid herself making those beautiful plaques! How fitting that the first one should go on the CAT on CAT HILL! Mannie will be so proud.

Ella & Rusty

Yo Kitties. What fun we had today! I am stuffed with hot dogs. And every hot dog cart now has a Mannie plaque. It's a good thing that Maui brought her wagon so we could tow the plaques from stand to stand. And the big panther on Cat Hill looks great with Mannie's plaque. The caretaker at the Belvedere Castle was a little puzzled when we put the plaque on the gate, but he admired it after it was up. Tourists were taking pictures of it (as they were photographing the squirrels). And wasn't rowing on the lake fun? No one fell in. Yay! Tomorrow we'll go to the NY Public Library and put plaques on Patience and Fortitude; Mannie always liked to visit them. We can have more hot dogs for lunch and eat them on the steps. See you all tomorrow.
