Yesterday Neko got back on track to her usual bounce to pink during the day and dive to green in the evening. Then she surfed the rest of the night.

This morning's shot was a very good advertisement for calipers. I opened a new bag of syringes (but same box) and got the worst set of markings I've seen since I started using calipers. Neko's dose is 1.25 units, but if I'd gone by the markings, I would have given her 2.0 units. :shock: Before today, the worst the BD's had been out was .5 unit. I first fill the syringe to a bit above my desired amount according to the lines so I can get out the bubbles, then use the calipers to measure where the dose should be. I must admit though, it was kind of cool seeing insulin just up to the .5 unit line on the syringe.

It's a gray day today, supposed to see sun later. Neko had a brief patrol on the deck to sniff her territory, but her basket in the solarium has claimed most of her attention so far today. We're off to dim sum in a bit. Neko says it's OK for me to go.

@Michelle - Thanks for visiting last night. Neko is back to her regular green at night, pink during the day cycles. Slept well last night - did my exercises like I should have the night before. :roll:

I hope Neko comes back down soon. Hopefully she'll surf safely tonight and you can get some sleep. I know what you mean about the syringes. I'm so glad I use calipers to make sure Furball gets a consistent dose.

@Doreen - Dim sum was great - it's always good to have someone who knows her stuff do the ordering. Neko was a little extreme on the permission slip today. :shock:

@Carla - To date the syringes have been at worst .5 unit out so this one was quite the surprise. Makes me wonder what I was doing before calipers, but she was on big enough dose it probably didn't matter much.

@Rhiannon - She better not go any higher for PMPS! But she's whining early for dinner so who knows. PT's keep on saying exercises are good to do, and usually they are right. :lol:

1.25u! Very cool, Neko! I wonder the same thing about Zener's dose pre-calipers, when we didn't notice the markings at all. :roll: Dim sum sounds delicious. Have a great evening!

Neko did a fine job sliding down the last three hours. She was "starving" at +9, she really doesn't like being that high anymore. I wish her liver would get the message. :lol:

@Liz - Yup, my little girl has gone from a high of 8.75 units to 1.25 units, which is a dose we never did on the way up because vetty suggested .5U changes (before I got on here). I'm so proud of her. cat_pet_icon We have a large Chinese population here, so good dim sum places. Keep it in mind for when you are up here.
