Yesterday

Zener is full of himself this morning! :-D :-D :-D He is feeling good and his appy is happy. That is great except he came in from outside and immediately jumped on Tillie and chased her around.  Both are now napping, Zener in the sun and Tillie in her heated pyramid. Pretty decent numbers this morning, looks like he was mostly blue last night. Woohoo! :-D :-D

OT: I'm feeling amazingly well this morning after my mostly-done root canal yesterday. I get to go back Tue to finish up. I took the cocktail of ibuproferen and tylenol this morning and that helped. And the novacaine has worn off. Yay! I was feeling rather sorry for myself until a friend said that her root canals usually take two visits. Ouch - when you've had enough root canals to modify with "usually". And then a cousin posted the story on FB of another cousin who stepped on a land mine in WWII, Battle of the Bulge, severely injuring his leg. His buddy rescued him, in spite of grave danger to them both. That sure put my little root canal in perspective. Thank you to American soldiers for their service.

Thinking of ailing kitties and beans: Simon and Lucky. Also keeping Julie close, we all mourn punkin's passing and the passing of other kitties in LL. Paws crossed for OTJ trials for Gobbles and Zoey.  Woohoo, Roni and Brad are back in their home! :-D :-D :-D

Nice report on Zener and Tillie today. Good to hear how full of himself Zener is this morning.
Liz, so glad you're feeling well after the root canal and the pill cocktail helped. Have a great day Liz, Anne, Zener and Tillie

:-D :-D :-D Rough and tumble Zener? WE don't see that too often! Way to go Z-man! :thumbup

Usually 2 visits??? I had 2 root canals done in 1 visit! the worst was having to keep my jaws open for so long!

Re: 5/24 Zener AMPS 187;+2 229;+3.5 169

It's good to hear Zener is feeling good this morning. Liz, I hope everything goes well on Tuesday with the rest of your root canal. I'm glad the pill cocktail is helping.

Re: 5/24 Zener AMPS 187;+2 229;+3.5 169

I once had a root canal where my dentist couldn't find the 4th root he knew was there, so in the middle of the procedure he sent me a couple of blocks away to a root-canal specialist, who took me right away. Didn't even have to have more novocaine! This was in Manhattan. I doubt it would happen here in the Adirondacks!

Nice slide for the Z Man today. Hope you kept it going, Zener.

Have a great evening and a good start to the weekend. And no pain!

Nice to hear Zener getting a littly rowdy

I have had 3 root canals, 2 by regular dentists, that took more than 1 visit; and one by an endodontist (regular dentist said it was too involved for him to do) that only took one visit, was so pain free it was amazing. It probably cost more than double, but she was worth it!

And you are right, all is nothing compared to what our troops go though every day!

Nice report...I love hearing about a feisty Zener with a happy appy! Have a great evening!!

Re: 5/24 Zener PMPS 141

A nice slide all cycle, and looking remarkably like yesterday. That almost never happens. Appy a little slow this evening so I added a small bit of appy stimulant. Also, Z had a partly formed with pudding poo at the end, his second poo of the day. Will adjust miralax and see what happens. He has been needing quite a bit of fortiflora on his food today too, but that is usually constipating. Hmm. Nice blues today.

@Ann & Maggie - it's funny now they can be feeling great one cycle and so-so the next, we never really know. Liz is managing with a cocktail of ibuprofen and extra strength tylenol and I know she will be glad with this never ending procedure is over next week.

@Ann & Tess - we don't see the feisty Z much anymore, was great to see him feeling so frisky this morning. Wow, 2 root canals in one visit, you should win a prize! :o

@carla - paws crossed the evening is a good one too! We love all these blues.

@Ella & Rusty - oh good grief, that is a root canal horror story. Guess it's good to be in the big city for some things! Zener is happy he does not need a root canal!

@Cleo & Jane - the Z man remains in a blue mood. Our dentist sends us to the endodontist for root canals, and he's the only one in town. Liz had a lot of calcification so it took longer than expected and he had another patient coming in, so that's why Liz has to go back again.

@Amy & TrixieCat - we love happy and feisty too, hope we see it more tonight!

Wishing a lovely long memorial holiday weekend to those in LL in the US and a calm and a drama free Friday evening and start to the weekend for all. :YMHUG:

Re: 5/24 Zener PMPS 141

Anne: Sorry to hear about Z's pudding prezzies ~ I hope the miralax adjustment helps.
Liz: Good luck with your root canal recovery & Tuesday's appt.
Zener: Give your beans extra headbutts for being such good beans for you and each other.
:YMHUG:

Re: 5/24 Zener PMPS 141

Hi Anne--

Great PMPS! I hope you just have the one remaining appointment on your root canal.... Totally un-fun!

Thanks for visiting Gobs & I :-D Have a wonderful weekend.

Re: 5/24 Zener PMPS 141;+2.5 180

No good on the two visits for the root canal, especially over a 3 day weekend! But you're right, what our service men & women do for our safety and freedom puts things like my back problems in perspective. Thanks for the reminder. Lovely numbers for Zener tonight. Hope the liqui-poo solidifies and hope his appy comes back to that happy appy we like so much! Hope you continue to feel better, Liz. Blessings to you all!

Re: 5/24 Zener PMPS 141;+2.5 180

Very lovely blues again, maybe a little lower this evening? Love to hear about the feisty Zener. Neko get's pounced on occasionally and she's NOT impressed. Good luck on the supplement adjustments. Ever feel like a mixologist?

Good to hear Liz has the root canal pain under control. My dentist keeps using that as a threat if I don't take care of my gums. Works too!

The appy stimulant is doing its magic and the mighty Z is feeling quite a bit better tonight. The winds calmed down and allowed for some lovely backyard time.

@Josie & Ripley - paws crossed it was just too much miralax, time will tell. Zener is following your instructions and giving us lots of loving tonight! cat_pet_icon

@Kat - thanks for the visit, and the human dental vetty vines! :-D

@Deborah & Shasta - appy is definitely happier, but drug induced. Oh well, we're just happy he is feeling good.

@Wendy & Neko - BWAHAHAHA on the mixologist. OMG yes, all the time!!! Still blue tonight and not lower, but flat is good too. This is the 4th cycle at this dose and he's mostly been blue, so we'll hold a few more and see if things nudge down a bit. A root canal is a very powerful threat, so floss daily. ;-)

Looks like flat blues now, so it's ni ni LL. I-)

Glad he's had a good day and his appy was super this morning...and picking up tonight! Poor Tillie....ZMan...really!

Glad the root canal is almost over.

Speaking of mixologist...would you like Gracie to make you an extra special concoction ?
