Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty had a good night sleeping between his beans with his head on his little green pillow (it got quite cool last night--much more normal for this time of year). This morning he had a good test, good shot, triple-treat breakfast of FF T&G, Wellness Turkey, Paw Lickin' Chicken, a delicious lung treat, a schmooze with his mamabean, and now a nap in his basket. This morning, after his breakfast and his shot, Rusty went back to his tray and sat in front of it. This is his way of saying that he wants something other than what is still in his dish (he always saves some breakfast for later in the morning--Rusty is a grazer). Yup, he wanted some Paw Lickin', so he got it and ate it happily.

Today is a Monday Paddle and our group is paddling along Middle Saranac Lake, through the locks on the Saranac River to Lower Saranac Lake, where we will have lunch on one of the islands, and then continuing on to 2nd Pond, where we will take the boats out. This paddle requires a car shuttle, but I believe that some of our friends who have 2 cars will bring the second car and park it at the take-out so that the drivers can be shuttled back to their cars, which will be still at the put-in. The weather is cool and cloudy with showers possible this afternoon. This is a beautiful paddle and I hope that the sun will make an appearance.

Rusty will be home alone until about +9 or so and will have lunch served by his automat. He invites his pals to join him on the porches for a day of chillaxin'. Tomorrow we are all going down to Camp Stu for a couple of days, so the kitties can plan what they want to do at camp.

Wishing all a good day. Continuing to keep Caryl, Jane & Jack in our thoughts. Continuing to send healing vines to Simon and to all kitties and beans who need them. Special healing vines to Lyresa's son, Cody.

Ella & Rusty

Yo Kitties, I'm going to Camp Stu tomorrow for a few days and hope that you will join me there. We can swim, fish, paddle, and chillax on the porch. We can grill our catch. Maybe there will be mousies and chipmunks (but I can't promise). Come to my house today and we'll make some cimmamum cookies and plan the next few days at Camp.

Hi Ella,
That's adorable that Rusty sits in front of his dish. I'm not begging mind you . It'd sure be wonderful if you'd put a little somethin special in here.

I hope the weather is great for your paddle. More sun, no rain! It sounds like great fun.

Re: 6/3 Rusty AMPS 149

Happy Monday Ella! Hope your paddle goes well and that you have some sun....
Nice AMPS for Rusty!
Raja does like her brushing! You asked in yesterday's condo....wow, she really DOES enjoy it. I bought the furminator and can't believe how much hair it removes. She has very thick fur although she is short haired....it is very thick with a lot of underhair too. Shadow has much thinner hair and I feel that I will make him bald if I use the furminator too much on him!
But I like to do a good job with Raja cause she grooms herself so much. We do get shedding....even though it's Florida. Still a change of seasons and they still get winter coats even though temperatures don't go as low as yours...ever. My DD's kitty Roxie had a hairball yesterday too when I went down there to feed her.....notice she is shedding a lot too. It's neverending, isn't it??

Hi Ella. Nice beginning of the day for Rusty. Hope he stayed with the nice numbers throughout the cycle.

Your paddle today sounds really nice. Hope the sun made an appearance for you. Have a safe trip to Camp Stu tomorrow.

Have a great night.

Re: 6/3 Rusty AMPS 149, +8.5 127, PMPS 165

Hi again,
Rusty decided to take a more or less flat day today. He's saving his energy for camp! He was happy to see us this afternoon and enjoyed some outdoor time.

Our paddle was great, if very windy: whitecaps on the two large lakes and a stiff crosswind, but I love that sort of thing. After the unseasonably warm weather of a few days ago, today we were all wearing our neoprene knee boots, fleece and our wind/rain gear. The water felt warmer than the air.

Off to visit some condos. We are pretty much packed for camp and will leave in the mid morning tomorrow. It's only 70 miles from here. Rusty knows he's going. Usually this trip (as all trips) sends his bgs up, even after having done it so many times. Rusty doesn't like his routines messed with!

Wishing everyone a good evening,

Ella & Rusty

I love flat blue days. Paws crossed for more of the same tonight.

Your paddle sounds good, if not a little rough. We can't go out in white caps, not enough stability in the boat. I was wearing my neoprene boots this morning too.

Have a great trip to Camp Stu. The kitties are all looking forward to it. :-D

Awww, Rusty, don't let the travel send your BGs up. You're too cute for that! Glad you had a good day paddling. Wow, crazy weather though...warm, cold, etc. Safe travels tomorrow and have fun!!!!
