Yesterday

Ugh. Zener continues to bounce today. He's a little punk too and doesn't have a lot of energy. Appy is so-so. On the other hand, it's hot today, so maybe that's part of it. I'll give him some cypro tonight.

OT: Just how hot is it? 88 according to the weather channel, 86 according to the national weather service and 92 according to our thermometer which is in the shade. Inside the house is 75, no AC either. I keep everything closed up during the day so it stays fairly cool in here. Flagstaff averages 4 days over 90 each summer, usually in June. So, yes, it's one of our hotter days. I did take advantage of his high numbers to go for a long run. I am doing a race next Saturday called Gaspin' in the Aspen. :lol: :lol: It's at 8000' at the cross country ski area, so it will be a little more challenging than our 7000' in town. I feel pretty good, better than I have this summer after hard runs. I had a big piece of watermelon after I finished. Must have medicinal properties.

Hi, Liz, sorry to hear Zener is feeling punky today. I know how it is, just having to watch him go through this phase and waiting for him to feel better. I hope he feels better very soon.

I didn't know Flagstaff is so high up! (We're only at 30 feet.) Will you have to acclimate to the elev. change next weekend? I know it's hard to find words that rhyme with 'Aspen,' but gaspin'??? :shock: :lol: I'm sure it'll be a beautiful setting for a run, though...

I hope Zener clears the bounce and gets his happy appy back, too. Sending some appy vines. Yikes, that is hot for you guys. I have the heat on here, as it's partly cloudy and seems chilly here today. Wow on your race mext week. Congrats for being in such good shape in order to do the run. Give Zener and Tillie scritchesfrom us.

Liz, I just got a giggle at your forecast summary. Glad you guys only deal with 4 days over 90! Glad your run went and yes, watermelon does have medicinal properties! :lol:

Wendy - appy is good because he got some cypro tonight. I'm liking that stuff more and more.

Barb - the cypro gives him happy appy and he seems to feel better. And definitely less bean stress. :lol:
