7/4 Shadow ambg 80

Afternoon,
Here's our last condo.

June 30 condo
ambg today was 80. and so was my mid day test.
Shadow has been hovering a lot around 80 lately. So at least we are holding nicely for now. I actually went and looked at the pen of insulin I bought back in April to see
when it expired and it's good until 2014. Got it tucked up high and in the back to keep it from getting pushed around.

For the previous two days, I have tried to give Shadow her adequan shot with my dd holding her but I failed.
Her boyfriend is over today so I'm going to go get him in a few and let him help me give her this dang shot.
The first try was a complete fur shot.... all over her back.... :roll: and last night, I just couldn't get a tent and she was really getting upset and my dd couldn't hold her so
I decided to wait. He has a better presence that calms her.


My spider bite is mostly healed. I still have a bit of fluid in my bursa of my right elbow but they told me to get it to go away, I need to hold my elbow up in the air many hours.
Yeah right. That's easy.

Hope everyone has a lovely 4th. We plan on watching fireworks from a friends yard ( as we usually do) and hoping no kids around our neighborhood have any illegal fireworks
while we aren't home. No fires please! nailbite_smile

Shadow's looking great. I guess she's gotten out of habit with shots though. Are the Adequan needles larger?

Good luck on the no illegal fireworks thing. We've got them here and they don't even sell them in Canada this time of year. At least our ground is moist.

Liz, we have gotten some rain. Our fire danger is currently moderate. It was extremely high a week and a half ago.

Wendy, the syringes for the adequan are 26g x 3/8. I went and bought Terumo's just for this. (better than the 25 or 24 gauge harpoons the vet gave me....)

and Dara, adequan is for arthritis. (specifically for dogs or horses but some vets are willing to use it for cats too)
There are a few here who are using it. It is injected. It seems to be helping Shadow's arthritis.
And I am older than the Fleetwood mac song.... ;-)
The name Rhiannon is welsh and it is a very common name in Wales, much like Mary is here.
My mother once tried to learn welsh ( :lol: ) and like welsh names and had a crush on Tom Jones too.
I am lucky that my name isn't Glumdalclitch. She named a horse that instead.

Good job on the numbers, Shadow. Now, will you please behave when your mama gives you your adequan?! Please! Rhiannon, I'm glad to hear that your spider bite is better. Sending more healing vines that it goes away completely without you having to hold your elbow in the air (like you just don't care! sorry, it just felt like it needed to be added!)
